The last book I read was George Orwell's 1984. Somehow, I never had to read this in school and decided to check it out. I loved the book. It is certainly a little eerie how close we have come to a "Big Brother" state. Nowhere near as bad as what Winston has to endure in the novel but scary nonetheless.
Currently I am reading Robert Heinlein's The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. I am only about 10 percent in and I'm not sure how much I like it. The main character's way of speaking (Russian accent) makes it a bit difficult to read as I keep trying to come up with a Russian sounding voice in my head and it keeps throwing me out of the narrative. I will work through it though. I tend to slog through an entire book whether I like it or not. I am the same way with music. If I start an album I will listen to it the entire way through.
So you can tell I like Dystopian Novels and Science Fiction. Recommendations?

I loved The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. I think that was my favorite of his. I'm currently reading The Old Curiosity Shop on my lunch breaks. I'll finish it in a couple of years at the rate I'm going.0
