Hello All UAC-November Members,
Some of you have been with this challenge for months and some are brand new. I can tell you that it is one of the hardest challenges to stay with throughout the entire month. FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS!! Log every BLT (Bite, Lick, Taste). Stay strong and true to yourself....YOU WILL SUCCEED!!
Please feel free to share as much information as you feel comfortable sharing about yourself with the rest of the group. I look forward to getting to know all of you a little better. GOOD LUCK!

Hello,
My name is Jess and I am up for this challenge! I recently got not so good health news after my last Dr. Appointment and losing weight is the best way to get things going better. I started tracking again on MFP 2 weeks ago, and now I want to start excercising more, I saw this challenge has criteria for daily excercise and tracking calories!so this is perfect. I look forward to the accountability!3 -
Hello my name is Katrina and accountability is what I need... things get rough. Yet I'm willingly to give it my all. I just need help getting started and not giving up in three days3

Hello my name is April. I joined this challenge because it looks like the kind of challenge I need! I need to log daily and exercise daily so this is perfect. I'm looking forward to making it to the end of this month without missing a day2

Hello! I'm Emily and I need to join this challenge! I've been working out and logging consistently for a month and a half, but I always slip up on the weekends. My goal for November is to stay consistent with my diet and exercise, especially on weekends. I know I can do it! Good luck everyone!3

Hi to all my MFP peeps . I joined this challenge to be accountable for logging everything I eat especially once I have completed my diary for the night. I tend to eat afterwards and not count it :0
Also, we all undergo areas of stress. My position at the Hosptial is being cut and I don't know where they are going to offer me. I don't want to resort to food to deal with my stress. Being accountable I am hoping will help me deal and find better solutions/coping mechanisms.
Let's support each other and get us through one day at a time.2 -
Hey all! I'm Liz, and I'm a vet student with an unfortunate habit of eating everything in sight when I get stressed. I think this challenge will encourage me to think more carefully about what I'm eating for the day and why my health is important too.
Good luck!3 -
Hi,
Sometimes I do massive exercise. I get to eat a lot when I do that. Trouble with me is to not eat when I don't exercise. So I have to get in the habit of meticulous journaling otherwise on my down days I eat way too much. Currently my weight is at a comfortable equilibrium. But generally as weather cools my activity diminishes and I gain weight. Often that is 20 lbs over the holidays. I don't know why I don't want to do that. Mostly because I am getting older and I don't know if I will be able to shake it in the Spring.
Problem with overweight is manifold, joints, diabetes, heart, and when I am in assisted living the attendants won't be able to pick me up without hurting themselves.
ANyway, I don't want to get too facetious because I am sold on this idea. I used to do similar in weight watchers. It worked. I got a better life out of that deal .
Without that my retirement would be a dud.
I can ski, I can ride bicycles. I can have a second childhood... the fun kind.2 -
Hi everyone I have been doing this challenge now for a long time. I like the accountability we try and share things with each other our day if it was good or bad. Sept I just started a new job so the group has heard me talk about it a lot. LOL After 24 years at my old job I decided it was time to make a change before I turned 50.
It's a great group and if you're having a bad day don't feel bad about sharing. There may be someone who can point you in the right direction if not we will cheer you to continue on. So many of our group have inspired me to move in directions I never thought possible. Life is for the living we just need to get out there and live it.
Have a Great Day Everyone!!!3 -
I'm a desk jockey with a week of skiing planned latter this winter. I'm hoping this challenge will help me navigate this "Eating Season" wisely, to end up stronger and leaner, despite bowls of candies, treats, lunches, parties and holidays. I can do this!1

Hi, I'm Cynthia. Mom of two girls. I lost 28 lbs. since starting MFP in October of 2014, but 5-8 of those pounds keep wanting to creep back on and I want them to stay lost for good so I need to stay accountable. I love to exercise, but didn't do a great job over the summer so I'm sure that helped with the weight gain. My biggest eating issue is the last minute change of plans for dinner, either because of kids activities or other social thing. I have to remind myself that I just because we eat out that doens't mean I'm celebrating! When I prelog I do much better so I'm trying to work on that. I joined this group in October, but did not make it to the Winner's Circle. Hoping to do better this month!2

Wow. Changing jobs after so many years. I applaud you. I am in a similar situation but NOT my doing. My position at the Hosptial is being abolished and I am waiting what they have to offer me (I have job security) but it doesn't mean it will coincide with family. Like a 1-9pm position! I would never see my kids and this have to quit...no income! Yikes! Scary!
I am an emotional eater, cooker, baker.....etc....I am hoping this accountability group will help me stay focused under these stressful times.1 -
Hi everyone. I've been back on MFP for a few months now since becoming a mum to lose the baby weight. I've pretty much done that...but I was overweight when I got pregnant. I had a bit of a slow weight loss for October of only 2 pounds when I'm aiming to average 1 a week so I'm hoping being in this group in November will help me achieve that. Good luck everyone!3

@jtkatch you need to have faith that somehow things will work out. Keep your ears open for any and all opportunities things have a way of working out when you least expect it.3

@2020pinktogo thank you1

Hi everyone, I saw this challenge and it is exactly what I need - especially with the holidays coming up. I've had a lot of success since starting with MFP in June, but lately I've been slacking off. Hopefully, this challenge will help me get back and stay on track.4
-
Recently I was in a challenge that petered out at the end - so of course I did, too, and got a little off track. For two months I've been accumulating new recipes, but since I still have grab-and-eat foods in my cupboard I haven't been cooking much. That changes tomorrow - I made a menu plan and rewrote my grocery list to include more vegetables, fish, and legumes. I may fail, but at least I'm not failing to plan! Baby steps...3

I was on here briefly a couple months ago. October wasn't the best with staying under on my diary, so I've decided to give this challenge another go. I want to prove to myself that I can do this.3

Hello all! I joined this group because I need the motivation to stay accountable for logging my food every day. My over all goal is to lose about 15-20 pounds in order to feel comfortable.
I work a desk job but I try to stay as active as I can. I have a 1 year old that keeps me on my toes I play rec soccer once a week, and I just started back at the gym with my husband.
My biggest struggle is that I need to focus on nutrition. Especially this time a year when goodies are around every corner! Good luck to all!4 -
Hello
I'm new to this challenge and excited to have some accountability. I've been up and down the last few years, ranging from 240 - 307 lbs after some health issues caused me to gain weight; rapidly & unexpectedly.
I was just married in August and the stress of it caused me to gain MORE.
I'm now just a few pounds shy of my heaviest ever 307lb mark and am ready to kick this for good.
I miss FEELING awesome and am ready to be a #sexywife.
I'd like to get down to the size I was when my husband I met (240lbs) and see how much I'd like to lose when I get to that point.
I'm ready. Good luck guys!
Thanks for this.5 -
This is really the best program out there for losing weight - it makes sense. I wish I would have been able to stay with it more. But I do want to try it again. I lost 65 pounds on the Ultimate Accountability Challenge a few years ago and then very foolishly gained it back. - Gus2

Hey, I'm Justina. Heard about this group from one of my MFP friends. I need to do something different because I've been struggling to stay consistent. Been trying to lose weight since 2009. Lost 30 but gained it (and more ) back when I was studying for the CPA exam from 2012 - 2015. I've been having trouble getting and staying on track since I finished the exam in 2015.
Looking forward to having some good results this month.4 -
Hi! I am doing this because I want to do a challenge for November and this looked like a good one. I gained 20 lbs in the past few years and want to try to lose it. I have been doing MFP for over a year, but can barely maintain. I used to exercise regularly, ran marathons and even became a cpt ( on paper.) But life and my health have been messy, so here I am. I know a lot , but applying it consistently is difficult for me.4

@missjones513 - I love your profile picture/quote. SO true!
@Sunnysided1 - Knowledge and application are 2 very different things for sure! My husband was a CPT (many years ago) and he has a degree in Sports and Exercise science. He chose a different career path and has distanced himself from that world, but still retains a lot of it of course. We both have committed to getting back in the gym and focusing on our health. Motivation and staying commited is the hardest part!3 -
Hello everyone. I'm Sylvia, sahm to two rambunctious kiddos. I've been on MFP for a long time. I've currently lost 50lbs and have 50 more to go. I joined this challenge to get myself more active. I usually exercise about an hour a day but i really need to move more throughout the day period. I've set a schedule to adhere to and i know it will be harder to resist eating more as I move more so Here i am. Good luck everyone3

Hello!
My name is Kelsea. I am 25 years old and currently work as a nursing assitant before beginning my master's program next year. My current goal is to lose 14 lbs by February 1st and keep it off/keep losing through summer. School will be very busy, and I would like to be in control of my weight before I start.
I'm single, so going out with friends tends to get the best of me. Similar to others who already introduced themselves, I am horrible at eating and drinking after logging in my diary all day. I joined this challenge to keep me accountable of all of those extras that I tend to let slide.
I wish everyone the best of luck! Please feel free to add me as a friend!3 -
Hi!! I am here trying to get into shape for my physical and mental health. I am excited to do this and hope to gain self control through this challenge . Good luck to everyone4

My name is Tyshieha and I am 40 years old. I have 4 children ages 23, 19, 5, and 2. I was skinny all my life if not underweight then I had kids and at my largest weight which was a little over a month ago was 228. I have finally gotten serious about losing weight and right now I am at 211.4. I am proud of myself but I am having a hard time keeping motivated. I am averaging 3 times a week to go to the gym. I am losing 1 lb a week but I want to go to the gym more but I keep getting bit by a lazy bug. I want to go to the gym on a more regular basis like 5 times a week. I just don’t know how to keep my motivation up to keep going to the gym on a regular basis.
I changed the way that I have been eating. I barely eat sugar anymore unless its natural sugar except for dark chocolate. I know I have to figure out a way to snack because I am a grazer. I like to snack all day, it does not matter if I am hungry or not. I don’t know why. I eat a lot of vegetables. After I work out I will drink a protein shake to keep my muscles while I am losing the weight.
Just like today I had a bag of celery and Chipotle Hummus. I ate an entire small container of hummus. So I know I still have some work to do when it comes to eating. I am writing down everything that I eat now and I am trying to stay under my calories per day. Yesterday I stayed under my calories per day but today I have went over them……
