Well this challenge wasn't a complete failure I did not gain weight. I have dropped a few lbs from the beginning. Where am I going? What are my long term goals? I don't know.

I have made some major changes in my life and I guess i need to get things settled before I can say Ok this is where I want to go to next. I guess I'm just going to live life and see how I do.

I have gained 4 pounds over the past 6 weeks. However, a lot was dealt with during that 6 week period and I'm beginning this week in a much better and organized place. I'm looking forward to the rest of the year and getting back to my lowest weight of 2016 before January 1st rolls around. My high this year (this week in fact) was 169. My lowest weight for 2016 was 155. It is my very strong goal to at least get back to the 155 or a tad better by year end. Today's weigh-in was 167.
    Best wishes to everyone.

I had set a goal to lose 6#, and ended up losing 8.5! I think that's the best challenge loss I've had since I joined in 2013. My health has improved drastically since the summer, and I've reconnected with some very good friends from my Navy days. Overall, I'm busier than ever, but I'm not so stressed and depressed. Life is rosier with support and encouragement from people who love you.

Met my goal for this challenge. First challenge I've been in where I've done that. Came close a few times though. I will admit that a good bit of my loss can be attributed to stress. Had a lot going on the past 2 months. Stress and nerves. Haven't been exercising and haven't eaten too much because of the nerves. Some days just couldn't make myself eat anything. So now that things are getting back to normal I'll see how the weight loss goes. I need to start exercising regularly and planning meals and making sure I get that water in.

THIS! I need to all of these things too!

So, are we forging ahead with a New Year's challenge?

I was just coming to ask. If people are in I'll start a new thread for New Year's later today or tomorrow. I'm going to try to at least maintain through the holidays, get my half marathon done Thanksgiving week (tendon is still making long runs a problem, so I gave up on marathon training and decided to convert it to the half), and then start seriously focusing on a progressive weight training program and trying to make some strength gains). I'm also working on intuitive eating and consistency, as I tend to bounce too much between overdoing restriction and overeating still.

Still here! Been sick.... Recovering from cancer surgery.... Gaining and losing weight... But onward! I've got to get back to healthy eating... My energy drink made with coconut water has high fructose corn syrup in it! So trying to learn better ways of eating and dealing with stress when I can't exercise like I want. One of my most stressful years in my life! But ran a five mile race Saturday followed by twenty mile bike ride. Last open water swim races tomorrow... No wet suit for me so racing short races. Ten mile trail run in December and half marathon trail run for march. Onward!!

@babhat13 - Wow! Impressive weekend! Prayers and best wishes for your continuing and complete recovery from your surgery and cancer. Sounds like you're kicking it in the butt! Good luck with the swim races tomorrow. :)

I started the new challenge and send invitations to everyone signed up for this one. It's also public. Feel free to invite others.
