I see the same thing sometimes when I do Leslie workouts. Not sure how to judge what's going on. I thinking that some of the moves that are in Leslie's workouts don't always register with the Fitbit. I'm thinking kickbacks and and side steps... but I don't really know.

Survived the carrot digging yesterday!! I was the person who sat and cut tops off. then I mowed the grass around my property and winterized. Came home and cleaned my carrots, bagged and put away.
I seem to be stuck at a plateau so will have to assess my diary and see what is holding back the weight loss. Clothes are getting loose, but the scale isn't moving!!1 -

Survived the wait in the hospital, visited a friend who had a knee replacement on Monday. The two little spots on my back have about 5 stitches each, they are just a little itchy or maybe it is the Band-Aids!0 -

I am sorry to have been gone for so long and as you can see, I am certainly WAY OFF my goal for the month. I ended up with another online class and with all the grading involved in 4 of them, I have been chained to the computer! I am finally ahead of it all as 3 of the 4 classes are coasting to finals! YEAH!!! I am not thinking I can make 77.7 miles in 14 days, so it looks like this goal was a bit ambitious for this month. :laugh: My life has simply gotten too unpredictable!

Gidget & Ann I am not sure Fitbits do this, but if they do, you may need to calibrate them to your stride. I use a Garmin vivofit and it computes my miles by my strides and mine are much smaller than the factory setting, so I had to change it. The Garmin is usually only about .2 or .3 off Leslie's mileage and it is right on when I compare it to Endomondo Walking miles, which are GPS tracked. You can download Endomondo to your phones or iPad and walk with it and your Fitbits to see if the mileage is the same. That's how I calibrated my vivofit. Leslie's workouts should not be a whole mile off. :noway: That is just defeating the purpose of these gadgets, which are supposed to encourage us to walk more!!!

Considering that load, it's great that you've managed any miles much less 42.3! Well done!
Thanks for the info about Fitbits. When I got my new one, I completely for got to set the stride feature. This will make a difference.

5.43 miles golfing this afternoon. I took a week off from walking due to shin splints and a pulled hamstring. The legs still ache but they are getting better. I still need to ease off the walking and I may not reach my goal this month. I will give it my best shot. My golfing schedule these past 6 months was brutal to my legs. I may need to take some more time off. I will decide come the end of the month.0 -

Pinky I feel for you as I had shin splints the day I walked 4.3 miles. I had not had them in so long that I forgot how painful they are! Time off is the only thing that heals them and it is very annoying!!!! :grumble:

I am glad reminding you about setting the stride on your Fitbit helped. I was surprised at what a difference it made in my Garmin. I have no idea who those factory settings are designed for, but clearly, not a 5'4" woman with short legs! :laugh:
