Gastroenteritis

I've been low carb for 10 months now but this weekend I came down with Gastroenteritis. Its been a living hell with me not being able to keep water down. Luckily that has now passed and even though i still feel so weak, I am now able to keep fluids down and I'm being encouraged to try small bits of plain food like crackers or toast but I don't want to.
All my usual low carb foods (meats, eggs, cheese, nuts, butter, cream, a little veg) I've been told are too rich or hard to digest for my healing stomach.
Does anyone have any advice on what I can eat that won't take me back to being sick? Or should I just stop low carb for a few days until I'm back to normal?

They say crackers and stuff because they don't understand low carb diets.
I would never consider going to inflammatory carbs thinking it could somehow help me get better. It just doesn't make any sense.
Have some broth and cook some veggies like green beans or celery to add to it as a soup.
Teally the only thing I would avoid is eating full meals or a whole bunch of dairy or very lean meats. I'd say everything else is no problem. Just don't fill up all at once.0 -
I find broth, butter broth (it's what it sounds like, broth with butter in it) and/or egg drop soup (non-spicy versions of course) are about the most perfect for this. In fact the last time I contracted the puke disease from my little Petri-dishes, that's how I transitioned back to eating. Broth<butter broth<egg drop soup.3

This is always my go to when I'm sick because it sits light in the tummy:

I had this last week and scrambled eggs were the first thing I ate. I was wondering how it would go because in the past I've eaten crackers or rice. I was totally fine.1

Egg drop soup, clear chicken soup (Jewish chicken soup is my favourite) boiled eggs with Himalayan salt, plain beef jerky if you can stomach it.0

Thanks everyone. I'm feeling a bit more confident about trying to eat today so will be starting with some broth.
Thanks for all the ideas.1
