Low carb after Egg Fast

Okay I have a question maybe some of you may be able to answer. I did an egg fast for a week and then transitioned off of it for 2 days and then I did another one for 3 days. Since then I've been adding back little amounts of protein and fats and now a little bit of vegetables. My question is when transitioning back to low carb and eating back to normal now it's hard for me to eat vegetables without gaining weight. Any suggestions? Also having a hard time getting regular movement through my body since not eating the fiber like I used to.
Do you guys typically eat a lot of vegetables on your normal low carb planning? And have you done an egg fast and transitions over to adding back more protein fats and vegetables without gaining. If so could you please share.

What is your caloric deficit?1

I honestly think anytime weight is lost by doing any kind of modified fast or even extended water fast that at least a little bit comes back on right away. But think about it. At least part of the explanation is simply the contents of the gut. You're back to eating a variety of foods that digest at different rates.
As far as the irregular movement, as long as you're not feeling like you have a heavy gut and you aren't uncomfortable it's completely unnecessary to go every day. If I eat more than a couple grams, and I literally mean like 2grams of fiber a day, I'm slowed way down but it comes with bloating and the heavy gut feeling.0 -
It just seems now anytime I eat vegetables I gain weight. It's so frustrating and it's hard just to eat meat and fats even though I know people do it what vegetables are good to feel you and good for fiber and your health. I'm usually never near what it says for calories nor do I really pay much attention to that just watch the carb amount and my protein amount varies on the day.0

try avocado...lots of fat and fiber to get things moving and a fruit, not a vegetable...
Also, for what it's worth, my mother used to have problems with gaining weight on broccoli and asparagus and such things that it makes no sense whatsoever for people to gain weight on...she finally did NAET (Nambudripads Allergy Elimination Treatment) and solved that problem...it's kind of voodoo to me, curing people of food allergies, but it worked for her.1 -

Vegetables cause me weight gain too. But I really don't think it's a gain in fat. They upset my digestion. The idea that we need a certain amount of fiber is just another one of those misconceptions. People eating standard diets need more fiber because of all the processed foods and carbs. If you don't eat those things, you don't need the fiber and in some cases it just makes digestion struggle to work efficiently.
Because of the bloating and digestive issues that vegetables cause me and the inevitable scale weight gain upon eating them, I think it's due to inflammation and therefore water that's creating the difference on the scale. Not actually fat. So if you really want to eat more veggies and can deal with whatever digestive issues it might cause, you don't need to worry much about the gain it seems to create because it's not fat and shouldn't continue to climb beyond a couple pounds of water weight.
I love veggies and feel best when I eat none at all but I can't realistically say that I will do that all the time for the rest of my life. I try to limit them to small portions that I can get away with without the digestive issues.
Last night I ate too much broccoli and of course today, the scale is up and my gut feels heavy and I am bloated so much that I'm up a full inch around my waist! The amount I ate would be considered a normal serving by mostly anyone but it's just too much for me.
My best solution for way it makes me feel is an extra dose of magnesium and some apple cider vinegar with salt and water.
It's probably a gut bacteria imbalance but I've tried adding in fermented foods and kombucha and yogurt and probiotics and saw no difference, so I'm just going with trying to limit them as much as possible.0 -
I actually love vegetables ( and was regular while eating them) and was losing even when eating them prior to my vacation and then I had stalled for a good month so finally decided to do the egg fast way to lose 10 pounds but now even adding vegetables back in the tiniest bit lately creeps weight back on and it's been over a weeksince I've been off the egg fast. Frustrated0

Sounds to me like the moral of that story is don't bother with an egg fast again. Get back and stay on the way that was working for you and you enjoy.3 -
Well it worked and worked well to move the stall. But hard to add back veggies now0

^^^^ This. Water gains are quick, fat not so much, very slow in fact. So add in the veggies that worked for you, know that you will drop the water weight, and get on with it. Weight loss is not really linear, it goes in fits and starts. I don't think any single food is the answer to anyone's weight loss, but that is just me.
I also second the eating of avocados and the use of avocado oil, it is wonderful stuff and keeps things moving along.4 -
In the egg fast plan from IBreatheI'mHungry, the website author advises to transition slowly off the egg fast - like do two egg fast meals and then one keto meal for a few days to get your body used to eating other foods again. She did also advise that you may see a slight gain from the water weight.0

Yeah I did that Samantha, in fact took a week to transition fully. But Retire and kpk your right, veggies are mostly water weight gain. Just frustrating to not see the scale move when I'm doing everything to a tee0

I did naet as a teenager. I was allergic to my own hormones. It's quacky, but I swear it works! I had severe seasonal allergies, never even got "cleared" for them, but they are super mild now. I think my histamines were always so high from being allergic to everything else, that the pollens were making me miserable.0 -
How do you test for this0
