Hi all just saying hello from Sunny FL On day 7 in Ketosis and feeling great. Had a pretty good headache last night before bed and could not go to sleep so slammed some (and I never thought I WOULD say this) pickle juice shots because of some posts I read on here. It semi helped so today I will have to be more aware of my sodium intake. Monday - Friday at work I find it super easy to get in almost a gallon of water daily but when I am home for the weekend I do not want to drink much water or anything. Is that a problem?

Hi, and welcome! What do you see as "too much water," and what about weekends makes desired water consumption different than weekdays?1

Welcome, Stef! Yes, electrolytes are very important. I find if I don't drink my litre of Keto-ade each day I get headaches. Hope yours is gone!1

Well I guess on the weekends I am busy with the kids or netflixing so I do not always think about drinking that much water. I did end up drinking 4 16oz cups though as of now since my post and I ate a nice big meal so my headache is indeed gone now. Thank you @MyriiStorm and @40DayFit1

I see! I misunderstood your original post, I think. You know, it might seem kind of strange, but sometimes I find that if I use a specific kind of cup ou glass, I'll drink more water. I have a sipper-straw cup that I use when I'm busy bc. it won't spill. And something about that straw makes it easier somehow. Other times, when I'm trying to get my entire glass down quickly, I use a heavy highball glass and that does the trick.
I agree, hydration definately helps on this way of eating! Here's to another weekend day of water and no headaches!1 -
You sound like me @40DayFit except I looked at a cup with a straw yesterday and said "NOPE!" I knew if I sipped out of a straw it would take me forever. I had to chug a lug it1

Drink when you're thirsty. There's no need to specifically focus on taking in a certain amount of water. All fluids count and you just need to drink when thirsty.
If you drink more then that you will actually increase your sodium loss and make the electrolyte balance more challenging to keep level.1 -
Thank you @Sunny_Bunny_0
