I did the fall into fitness challenge day one yesterday. A bit sore today. Workout for today is "steady cardio."0

I wrote a long post here yesterday but didn't hit REPLY...RATS!!!!
Walked w/DH yesterday for 5.25 miles in 96 mins (7.11 total miles for 15,204 steps) then hit the gym w/our trainer for 60 killer mins. She loves to torture me when DDD isn't there to take up some of the time! I am sore this morning...it's a good sore, but, man!! Then we went over to DDD's so they could get ready for dinner at SIL's mother's house. We brought Bean home. Today is a REST DAY, but we will be taking Bean over to the park for some fun. He has a hard time leaving Ronan these days.
Thinking about going grocery shopping for what I need Thursday...probably not going to be fun.we'll see.
Everyone have fun today!

Chris I still do that also. Really ticks me off! I made some corn meal crescent rolls from scratch yesterday. Cooled and froze for Turkey day. Then 3 pumpkin pies today. One is for a neighbor. Tomorrow I will be making a strawberry cream cheese ring. Then I have to clean.
My daughter came over this morning and we lifted weights. My bench press is now up to 80 pounds. Still have trouble with flys. Darn frozen shoulder!
Chris I sure hope you are not still sore tomorrow.
Shelley0 -
Chris, so glad you're feeling better. Love your silly raccoon.
Shelley, how are the baby clown fish doing? were you able to catch any? Hope DH isn't in pain anymore.
My order of KCM videos came finally and of course that's when I found the ones that were gifted to me.
Some were at house-2 because I'd planned on working out over there. But then our house-1 TV broke and we took the spare from house-2.
Some others were right next to the VCR players. Am currently having a serious discussion with myself about whether I'm completely blind or just selectively blind when my subconscious wants to avoid working out.
I hosted our MAC group on Sunday. It was a lot of fun. MAC is a "Mutual Assistance Community" - we potluck once a month with the goal of developing friendships and support - especially at our age. It's like we now have 30 friends who we can call at any time. Coffee, tea or a ride to the doctors....
I wore my Wampus Ilvermorny T-Shirt but nobody said anything. Good friends, but not fellow geeks. DH doesn't want to go see "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" - Chris any interest in meeting halfway? Would be fun. :ohwell:

Shelly, so proud of you for lifting so much in the bench press. It's probably more than 80 pounds if you're not counting the bar also.
Paula, I went to see "Fantastic Beasts" and really enjoyed it. Hope you get to see it.
Didn't track the past couple of days, so back to it now.
Tomorrow will actually be a reasonable day. DD can't come see me, so we're helping deliver food to a rehab facility with our church. Can't eat other people's turkey etc. due to lactose intolerance. Planning to bring PB&J sandwich with me for the delivery time. Then Scott's making pork chops and sweet potato for our dinner.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!0 -
Oh Paula you and Chris must see it. We are going this week later. Love the MAC group. But you should enlist a few geeks.
Wow, your life sounds complicated. My house or my other house. Now which house did I leave my glasses in? Thank goodness it is just next door! Muahaha. I missed the babies. They hatched on day 11. Getting closer. Now go put in one of those DVD' s and build some awesome arms.
Clara I did count the bar. I evened it down. It is actually one pound heavier!I am actually really happy that I can lift at all with the shoulder. My frozen shoulder is such a pain. I have limited mobility in it. But it is improving. Flys are still almost impossible. I did not realize that Turkey would effect someone who is lactose intolerant. I must look into it. But pork chops do sound yummy.

Clara I don't usually eat food other people have made...family is the exception...because I have tummy issues which I can trigger all on my own without anyone else's help.
Paula I get confused between the house and the garage...think I'd go nuts with another house next door!
Shelley sorry you missed the hatching. Hope DH is doing okay and that your shoulder is getting better.
Walked w/DH for 5.0 miles in 91 mins (7.08 total miles for 15,007 steps) then got on the bike for 17 miles in 60 mins and some Ray Donovan then hit the gym w/our trainer for 60 mins then went over to play w/Ronan.
Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!
Chris0 -
Shelly, it's not the turkey itself but the butter that's used in the turkey (lots of companies inject them with a butter solution) or on the outside. Mashed potatoes, stuffing, and veggies can have butter. So if I'm not in a family situation, I stick to ham, salad and cranberry sauce.
Luckily the church had ham and I had a good time serving the ladies at the rehab facility.
80 pounds is awesome. Hope the shoulder continues to get better.
Paula, I had 2 houses for a while but in separate states so not so easy to get confused.
Have a great holiday everyone!0 -
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Just got a PM from an MFP friend. He's getting married today. Such wonderful news.
Have fun and watch out for the turkey!

Clara and Chris I can so understand food allergies being an issue. I am glad you both found foods you enjoy.
The shoulder is healing very slowly. But I have most of the motion for a bench press still. While fly's are tough. Today I did 86 pounds. Working up to a hundred. Today's was tough. Good thing DH was spotting me.
I was only trying to see if I can catch the clown fish fry out successfully. I am not prepared to feed them. That will be costly. So first I must be able to catch them. One step at a time.
Shelley0 -
I'm so confused, are you going to fry the clown fish? What did they do??
Nice job on the bench press, Shelley!
Today is a REST DAY for us. We might take Bean for a Puppy Shampoo this afternoon. This morning is cold and really foggy.
Hope you all have the day off. Have fun!
Chris0 -
Do you think baby fish are called fry because that's what happens when they grow up and get caught?
Paula0 -
You two are so naughty!
I should have kept with calling them babies.
Chris I did have the day off. So I and Rocky went and helped a low cost veterinarian do some remodeling. I was staining and Rocky and another guy were hanging doors and putting up a 16 foot long shelf on top of a wall for plants. Felt great to give back.
Shelley1 -
Shelley, that was so great of you guys! Good job!
Chris0 -
Sounds like everyone had a good holiday! I did eat too much but back at it today. I'm hoping the gain will disappear in the next few days. Plan to complete KCM Muscle Definition today.
Ron went home to be with his mother for the holiday. He left me his 2 Falcons season tickets so I'm taking my Father tomorrow. That was so sweet of him and my Dad is very excited.

Well, the number was horrible this morning. I'm with Kathy today... back at it, paying attention and writing it down. It was a fun holiday, but now it's over. Walking, biking DVD on the list for today.
Love you all!!
Chris0 -
Go get 'em! :drinker:

Paula my shoulder is a work in progress.
Kathy sounds like you must of had some fun. Hope it was a great day.
