Hello All! I am happy to have found this group, I've been reading through some of the posts and you all seem very supportive!

I'm back on MFP as of this week for 2 main reasons:

1. Vanity - I've been asked by two lovely friends to be a bridesmaid in their weddings next year (both in October, yikes!)
2. Health - My husband and I plan to start trying to conceive sometime late next year. I want to get as close to a healthy weight as possible and get in a consistent fitness routine so that I can have a healthy pregnancy.

I've dealt with being overweight as long as I can remember, and the thought of putting on more weight on top of my current frame, and then trying to lose that after having a baby is scary! I started off really great at the beginning of 2016, then life happened (husband lost his job, we moved to a new state, both started new jobs, bought a house etc etc) and I need to get back on track. I'm hoping to lose 30-40 pounds (starting at 178, 5'2") over the next year.

I'm looking forward to being a part of the group and learning from those of you who have been around a while! Cheers!

You goal sounds completely do-able :) We are you to help you along your way too!

There is a spreadsheet you can use to track your calorie trends. It's kind of a challenge but I always get too lazy to post results lol. So it's basically a self monitored challenge.

It sounds like a lot of work to have two weddings in the same month! At least it's the same month for getting to your goal weight though!
