December 2016 - Walking Challenge

WELCOME everyone!!
Wow, it is already December! what will your challenge be this month?
Are you going to walk outside, or are you going to find some walking DVD's and walk inside? Will you make your miles on a bicycle? a treadmill?
This month can be very stressful. Sit down with your coffee this morning and put a plan together. I use a calendar and start with marking on it appointments, my days with grandkids and invitation to parties, This way I can see what is happening and when so I make sure I get "my time" and don't overbooked myself.
This group is open to any and all walkers. However you get your walk in, come on in and join us! Post your miles or minutes that you have walked, however you did it... it is all good!
Together we will motivate, challenge, as well as inspire each other.
Set your goal for how many miles or minutes that you want to walk, indoors or out, this month. This is your own personal goal . Post your results daily, weekly, or whenever you like.
There is no set time to start this challenge, join us at anytime, log when you can.

I think I am already in panic Mode! I don't know why .... maybe too much procrastination or too much "controlling - it has to be perfect" . I am sitting here looking at my December calendar and really I should be able to to manage. Thank goodness I am retired!

Yes, Lilymay . . . I expect this month to be a challenge.
First goal, in writing so I won't forget - No More FitBit Workweek Challenges!
Second goal, Firm up a workout schedule, the weather has changed and I have been slow to acclimate myself to getting up and out in the mornings - time to get over it!
Third goal, reach mile goal each day, so I I won't set a mile goal for the month - I hope to just be reasonably active all month1 -

Did some yard work and housework and then relaxed and made some cards.

Maybe my mile goal is too ambitious Sunday I went to a picnic at the waterfront and thought I walked a lot. . . maybe I got that confused with ate a lot!!!

-31 C with the windchill this morning. I now have sore throat from my trip to the city yesterday. So now I wonder if the doctor will clean out my ears today? Oh well, bundle up and lets get at it.0 -

I am so sorry I have been away...I just can't seem to get organized. Today, I made major changes in diet...whatever I was doing was not working. Had a huge meltdown yesterday...and today, I was paying for it. Good thing I go in three hours late today. Will just leave it at that...TMI is not a good thing.
Will get with the program and do my best to check in daily. Work til 8 tonight but will make it a priority to come back here with goals and a plan.

Rain go away or at least keep it to late at night! We don't usually have 40 degree weather so I am not sure what to do . . . I'm hoping Santa brings me a nice Down Jacket!!!
