Third time is the charm. Now I should get a date and a pre-operation appointment. Now I'm freaking out a little. It is very real now.

Congrats! I think all of us freak out BUT I think everyone would agree it was the best decision ever and only wished they had done it sooner!0

Congrats! It's a little scary, but don't be afraid to reach out here or to your surgery team if you have any questions.0

Awesome news! Don't freak out, it's going to be a-ok. Like has already been said, your surgery team and the people on this forum are here for you! I've lost a hair under 60lbs in 3.5 months and feel better than I have since I was in my teens!
Keep us updated on your date and how everything is going!0 -
HUZZAH!!! You're on your "weigh" to a new you!! LOL!!

I spoke with scheduling yesterday, my choices are Jan 23 or 30. Not optimal, a New Years worth of deductible to pay on top of my portion of the surgery. Thank goodness for FSA's. Another 2 months to wait. A huge project at work too.
Since my 6 month program ended I have had a harder time with the mindless eating. I'm now worried about how much I will gain back over Christmas if I'm not careful! I really need to get back to all the things that work. I picked up 3 over an extremely stressful Thanksgiving. MIL broke the head of her femur at a tumor (surprise!) and had partial hip replacement on thanksgiving day. Crazy holiday, irregular schedule and unprepared a total food disaster for me, poor choices too just to round out a horrible last week and this one too. Food, my old friend at times of stress, you were there again in my time of need.1 -
@pneschich Sorry to hear you had a stressful holiday. What I would suggest is getting some good protein bars, individual serving bags of nuts and other types of healthy snacks and keeping them on you at all times. You definitely want to log all of your meals and try then be as active as possible before now and surgery day. Reason I say this is because you don't want to sabotage your surgery over regain. Find out if you have to be down a certain number of pounds prior to surgery or just down.
There are some good ready to drink protein shakes that you can also keep on hand. Personally, I like the Believe ready to drinks, though I know a lot of people swear by Premiere protein shakes.
Some of my go to sites for Bariatric friendly recipes, support, tips and products are:
The World According To Eggface
Bariatric Eating
Bariatric Choice (TONS of products)
Bariatric Foodie
I also recommend going to Thin Slim Foods..their Impastable pasta is really good, and their low carb bread is good toasted. I got their sampler pack, and tried a lot of their stuff which was surprisingly good.
Good luck and know you have plenty of people here who are happy to help!
