I started my low carb diet on Nov 1st and I'm currently down 19 pounds! Super happy with my results, BUT............... now I'm worried. In November my monthly was normal, and by normal it was a awful, heavy, cramps, you name it. Now this month is a different story. I began spotting on Monday and have continued to do so. 5 days of this crap is annoying let me tell ya. The plus so far I haven't had any cramps, some headaches but not much and I really don't feel bloated.
Has anyone else experienced this?
If so did you eventually go back to the awful normal?

Congratulations on the huge loss. You have had a significant weight loss and as a result, most likely, a significant hormonal shift. Are you working with your PCM while pursuing this WOE? If not, I suggest you do. If your PCM is not supportive, find one who is.

Increased fat helps your hormones which may cause it to be a little irregular for a bit. It will level out after a bit.

Thank you ladies for the info... had five days of spotting now it's heavy and cramps. Hopefully this won't be the trend every month.

LCHF has been shown to help women with PCOS and other reproductive disorders. It's all about the hormones. It even helps people to conceive. So your cycle is experiencing an influx of fat (which is needed for healthy hormone production) and it's trying to figure it out.

Like you, I had an irregular cycle when I started too. About six months. I was thinking about taking up a stock in tampons because it was so heavy and then also so frequent. I would get it twice in a month sometimes. But it regulated and now I know when it will come and what to expect.

Losing a lot of weight fast can cause your hormones to be erratic, which can affect your cycle. Mine was a mess the first three months, but finally evened out. But it still gets a bit out of whack when I'm experiencing greater weight loss.
