I am totally frustrated with my scale. I bought a Weight Watchers scale last year. I changed the batteries about 2 months ago because it was starting to act wacky. I would step on it and it would go from 0 to 220 to 150 within 30 seconds.
So, since my surgery, my doctor said to weigh myself twice a week to make sure I'm not losing more weight.
I've waited so long for a doctor to say that to me

Didn't finish that post.
What scale do you have, and how accurate is it?0 -
well the one that the wife has is a Tanita hd-366 in the bathroom, says it matches the scale at the doctor's office so she is content.... someday i'll be light enough to try it out.

Here's a thought about that bathroom scale ... is it set on a hard surface, or on a carpet? I also have a WW scale and got very frustrated with it at one time because it did what you describes ... but I had it on a wooden board on top of the wall-to-wall bedroom carpet. So, I bought myself as EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale and ... that's when i discovered no scale would work well set where I had it. I have a tiny bathroom but put both scales in there, the WW one propped up in a nook space and the EatSmart scale in as an out-of-the way but accessible spot as I could manage. .... And now I realize that moving my feet even a little bit on the scale, like wiggle side to side even if the foot doesn't lift off the scale ... will have it going wild on the numbers.
I'm going back to my old WW scale come Jan 1 for my first weigh-in of the year, cause it's much easier to use being able to prop it up out of the way when not in use. Plus, it weights about 1.4 pounds lower than the EatSmart scale does.
Good luck.

I had it on a hard surface. When not in use, propped up against my bathroom cupboard. I think the floor space in my. Bathroom is about 4x4. So, I moved it to the kitchen. It has read ERR for 3 weeks. So, yesterday I bought a new one. When I stepped on it, it read the same as when I was weighed that morning at the doctor's office. The WW is going in the garbage today.0

I bought a new scale. It's a Thinner by convair(I think). When I got it home and stepped on it, it was exactly the same as the Dr's office. So far, it's been pretty good.0
