Back On Track After Last Night's Binge

I slipped up and binged last night.
In all honesty, my binge last night was not my worst (maybe even my best? in terms of binge eating, I suppose lol) in that I didn't go as overboard as I normally would. I got a footlong Subway sandwich for dinner and was planning on eating only half last night and saving the other half for today, and I also got 3 chocolate chip cookies which I was also planning on eating only one.
But, I ended up eating the whole sandwich and all 2 of the cookies. Again, this was by far not my worst binge, but it did send me pretty far over my calorie goal for the day and I woke up today feeling like crap.
However, instead of letting it bring me down and fall off the wagon, I drank 26oz of water to help hydrate myself and then ate a bowl of vegetable soup. I now feel so much better (my stomach and head fog have cleared) and I'm happy that I'm keeping on track with my diet. Normally I would be disappointed in myself and would continue to binge the whole next day (or a few days) before finally pulling myself together. But I'm just so sick of that cycle I get stuck in so I just decided not to.
I hope everyone else is having a good day today

@YynnYange - I often say that for me, the first thing I had to do was quit the guilt, the rest could follow. Kudos for a recovery!0
