Curious if anyone tried Chocorite shakes? If so, curious what you thought of them?

Jen, you find the most interesting products! Are these premade or a powder?0

Hey @NicoleL874 these are powder. I have been scouring a bazillion Bariatric sites and sites for athletes since they focus on high protein and came across these. Before I buy any new products I would want to see if I can get feedback from other people or see about getting samples from the company. I love my Bariatric Eating shakes but they have 20g of protein and some days I want something with a little more.
I got a couple of single serve Quest powders at GNC and made the peanut butter one yesterday in the blender - it was good and really thick! Tonight Eric and I are going to have the cookies and cream one for dinner so hoping we like that one too!1 -
The cookies and cream is good, but not a really strong flavor, imo. I have a 2lb tub of it too, lol0

I didn't care for the Quest powders, but the salted caramel one is good. It's like dessert. As far as the one you're asking about, I've never heard of it! @jcavanna2 You're my resource for bariatric friendly products. Lol0

@chubby_checkers - Loving that I am your bariatric product resource..lol! I have always been such a foodie (both hubby and I cool and bake), so it's important for me to have options and ones that taste good!
I hate to admit that I am not one that eats only sugar free stuff - I try to stay away from artificial sweeteners as much as possible because I get migraines so I try to get stuff sweetened as naturally as possible. Bariatric Eating uses Splenda in most of their products, would love if they switched to stevia but rather Splenda than some of the other artificial sweeteners.
Am always looking for new stuff and I am not afraid to ask these companies for samples..lol. I have lost too much money on full size products I hate and in some cases the companies don't issue refunds or credits which stinks.1 -
I was away on Saturday and found Chocorite Fudge Brownie protein powder and caramel crispy candy at a grocery store. They are both really good!
I like that the Chocorite shake has 24g protein, 5 g fiber, 3 carbs and 150 calories which may seem like a lot but I think it's worth it. I preferred it blended vs my shaker bottle at work. It also has a prebiotic fiber which I can appreciate as well. Definitely worth a try!0 -
I haven't tried the shake, but they make "reeses peanut butter cups" and they are amazing. Do you find that when you make your shakes in the blender they are really foamy? They tend to hurt my stomach if there is too much foam.1
-
I haven't noticed the foaminess too much, but the foam is actually protein. Maybe don't blend as long and that will help? I found the Chocorite got as thick as the Quest shakes with no foam, so you may want to try them.
I saw the peanut butter cups and am thinking of trying them as well as their protein bars. Ideally would like to see if my local Publix sells them so that I can buy singles though some products you can buy online one at a time. The chocolate pistachio protein bar looks awesome so very curious about it.
I emailed the company to see if they sell singles of their protein powder because while they are priced really well I don't want to buy bags at a time in case I don't like a flavor.0 -
@Jamieeldred with the foam, blend, then let it sit about 20 minutes. Like @jcavanna2 said, the foam is a byproduct of the protein. It will go down, then just gently stir if anything separated and it will be fine. You may be having issues with the foam because you are taking in a lot of air while sucking down the foam. Ok, sorry that sounded gross, lol!1

Ha ha - go to their site and film out a contact form and ask if they have samples. This guy Roger just emailed me back and they send samples of French Vanilla and Chocolate Fudge Brownie that they will send to you. I asked if they have samples of their protein bars and chocolates since I would be interested in those too so waiting for a reply.
Also for $16.99 for one time only call Syntrax people www.s1o3.com or something like that. They will send you 15 samples!!! That includes their vanilla which has real vanilla bean and was surprisingly good for this non-vanilla fan, strawberry was also surprisingly good and not overly sweet or artificial tasting, their cookie flavor, chocolate truffle, Cafe latte and Road stand lemonade to name a few1 -
@jcavanna2 Did you know that Syntrax has some stevia sweetened products? Syntrax Naturals. I haven't tried them yet because I don't mind defiling the temple of my body with artificial sweeteners (and I just discovered them) but I haven't had a Syntrax product yet that I don't like!
Chocolate Whey Shake mixed with Califia Farms Toasted Coconut Almond milk is my favorite thing right now!1 -
I did not realize that Syntrax had a stevia based line. I prefer a more natural sweetener due to my migraines but also don't let sucralose sweetened stuff prevent me from trying it. I do like the Syntrax line a lot! I don't think I have found Calfia Farms products but will need to look into that too!!0

@jcavanna2 Target carries Califia Farms!0

@Ultima_Morpha looks like I have to head to Target!!!1
-
@Ultima_Morpha I am such an idiot - I can get that brand at a bunch of stores here I just never realized that those bottles were Califia Farms. I just bought another brand but when I run out I am gonna get some!
Btw I bought the Chocorite Peanut Butter shake and it is really good too!0
