Recurrent Miscarriage

Hi, ladies! My name is Stephanie. I am 32, recently married, healthy, white female. My husband and I have recently experienced two missed miscarriages (one at 10 wks, the other at 12 wks) that resulted in D&C's. The back-to-back pregnancies coupled with depression and comfort eating wreaked havoc on my body, and I'm trying to get back to pre-pregnancy weight (and overall health). I am currently under the care of a reproductive endocrinologist as we try to explore the possible causes and prevent another miscarriage. I believe that diet and overall nutrition can help, and I appreciate any advice or support you would be willing to lend
As a personal aside, I do know that many of you may already be pregnant and I hope that my story does not scare you. Each woman's journey is unique, I just wanted to put mine out there because I think the silence that surrounds miscarriage and pregnancy loss is anything but helpful.

Stephanie,
Welcome to the group, I think you will find us to be a great and supportive group of women who are also on a ttc journey. I am so sorry for your losses. *hugs* Tell us more about your endocrinologist, I dont know much about what they do.
I dont know what diet advice I would give as far as diet, as I have been yoyoing for the year that I have been in this group (although not ttc quite yet) and for years before...its kind of my MO. Restarting after the holidays, my current way of eating is low carb, and I am restarting the Strong Lifts 5X5 program. I had quit and havent been exercising for 4 months due to a chronic pain in my right leg, which I hope to have under control now after lots of massages, epsom salt baths and stretching.
Welcome again to our group!1 -
@StephAStephan Welcome to the group! We are glad to have you!
It really sucks that this happened and that you are having to go through it. I hope your endocrinologist finds out the causes so it can be prevented in the future! We'll be here for you every step of the way! *HUGS*1 -
Hi Stephanie!
Sorry for your losses. I had a miscarriage in 2016 so I can imagine how tough it is. That's the most frustrating part of having a miscarriage, not knowing why. Hopefully your doctor will be able to discover if there are any issues, and you'll go on to have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.0 -

@StephAStephan Welcome to the group! I am very sad to hear about your two miscarriages . We are here for support in more ways than just for weight loss, I want you to know that. It is great that you're looking to take care of your body and that you've involved some professionals to help you as well! Let us know if you need anything and we are happy to have you!0
