Hi, I've been reading lots on here and it's been so helpful. I'm definitely identifying with the explanations here. I would love supportive people to add me as a friend.
I lost 50 pounds last year on a quick-fix diet
(extreme low carb) but have gained back 30 pounds. Now I want to change behavior/ lifestyle and try to get to the root of the problem instead of just losing weight on some type of plan.
I'm an emotional eater and I'm also really emotional about food. I don't want to have any restrictions on types of food. My main goal (besides staying in my calorie goal as best I can, as often as I can) is to stop eating for stress or boredom, etc. I'd like to stick to 3 meals a day and only snack if I actually feel hungry. I'm already pretty good at eating good meals... I just need to stop snacking to deal with my emotions. It's hard! I used some positive affirmations today to try to stop my comfort eating and found it really helpful.
I love working out and know it's important for my emotional health so I'm also setting a goal to workout 5x a week.
That's about it... just wanted to introduce myself.
