Hey guys,

the above is a youtube video I found by one of the coaches who did the T25 test group. She lost 15 lbs in 8 weeks. But it's worth watching because she talks about how she had to go a little above and beyond the nutrition recommendations in order to start losing weight. I think it's important to have that info out there, so when we see our results and wonder why they are not the same as the people in the infomercial, we know why. After watching this I am going to stay in the 1200-1400 range, even though the book recommends 1600 for me. I am also getting some supplements. But that's my personal choice.

I come from a family that has a VERY low metabolism. We have all gotten our thiroid checked and we are like .10-.25 away from needing medication (not that I would take it). I lost about 40 lbs 7 years ago and have maitained it over the years. Despite working out I have put on about 10lbs over the last couple years making my pants kind of snug (the 10 lbs I would like to loose now).

My point is...my calorie count requirments are REALLY low. I have learned this about myself over the years. When I am working out I can only eat 1100 calorie max. to lose weight. In the past when I wasn't working out it was about 800-1,000. To maintain my weigh at about 20 lbs (I'm 5'4") I can only eat 1200. It sucks because I LOVE food. I have had to weigh and measure my food for years. I have played with the numbers and the macros. But high protein and low calories is truly all that works.

Finding your personal nutrition guidlines is going to be key. You have learn what works best for you.

Totally, this is me too! My doc is always testing my thyroid but it's not "low enough" to medicate.
