On non-workout days, what's the story with fat intake?

So I was just curious. On a day when I'm not working out do I need to limit my fats and proteins as well as keeping an eye on my carbs, or not necessarily? Just want to make sure I won't over do it on rest days.

Eat. On rest days, you eat. If you're restricting fat and protein as well as carbs, there's nothing left but water. Rest days are the days that your muscles use to repair themselves. Eat.0

Remember that exercise is only a small portion of your overall energy expenditure on any given day. Your brain alone, not counting breathing, heart beating, muscles used for walking around, needs half your energy intake on any given day. And your muscles need to recover from exercise as PrimalRunner pointed out.0

Thanks Eric Also very helpful information, a a great point to boot. Sounds silly really, but I didn't think of it that way. As mentioned before, I just don't want to overdo it by eating "normally" as I would on a workout day, and sabotage myself unknowingly.
But the explanations are pretty straight forward and the reasons are solid so I'm good with that. Carry on they say!!0 -
Hey Shannon, also, I subscribe to the TDEE method, so I eat 2300 cals/day regardless of whether it's a long run day (3000 cals burned/day) or a rest day (1850 cals burned/day--my RMR). Today is a rest day for me. Feel free to poke through my diary and see what I've been doing.0

I do the same thing...it's easier to just know that I'm aiming for 2000/day regardless.0
