Wheat Belly - any vegan versions?

I read the book and was pretty convinced (I'm sure there are counter arguments). I found his recommended diet very heavily depended on meat and dairy and this was a bit too bad, because it made them seem necessary to cut out wheat and gluten. Any other books that are better for a vegan to read?

Read "Eat To Live" or "Eat For Health" instead. This healthy eating lifestyle will give you the best way to clean eating, gluten free as well if that's what you need. You can go as vegan or vegetarian as you see fit. All with health as the focus, and a healthy weight as a part of being healthy.
If any dietary recommendations aren't focused on nutrition first, then I disregard them. Nutrition is key.
(I personally am almost totally vegan now, by choice, and going gluten free was a side effect of eating well on ETL.)0
