I thought it would be fun to have a place where we can share recipes, ideas, or talk about what ever we wanted to talk about.
I wanted to share a new recipe I just tried. Its from the website Skinny Taste and is called "Dad's Creamy Cauliflower Soup". It tastes like potato soup. Very good. I did tweak it a bit. I added a carrot, used scallions instead of a onion (thats all I had), and used a 16 oz bag of frozen cauliflower instead of fresh. I think the next time I make it, I will only blend half of it and leave half of it chunky. I have been craving potato soup but didn't want all the carbs...this is deliciously satisfying!

That's how I do it whenever possible rather than make a recipe.
(I haven't been cooking anything interesting lately since work has been crazy and stressful, but hope to participate in this thread soon.)0 -
tress29.....When I was logging my food I used MFP recipe calculator to figure out the calories, sodium and all that other stuff. I have never been good at logging my food
I am more of a visual person so I started taking a picture of what I eat during the day and at the end of the day I combine all the pictures together. It helps me to see what I am eating (portion size and snacking). I also made a private face book page (where I am the only one on it) where I post the pictures including a picture of my scale with my weight, so I can look at my week. Looking at what all I have eaten during the week helps me know why I gained or lost weight. heres a example of one of my "good" days .

Mmmmmm, watermelon.
I like The Shrinker, a tea drink on Trim Healthy Mama: http://www.trimhealthymama.com/main-home/free-recipes/shrinker-recipe2/
I put the ingredients in my Breakfast log, so whenever I have it, I just go select all of them! I use 22-24 ice cubes and it makes a quart, for around 15 calories!1 -
I will check it out, thanks!0
