I just started riding this past Wednesday. I am riding a NordicTrack Commercial VR25 Elite recumbent stationary bike. I have some balance issues as well as heart issues, so I believe that riding indoors is the ticket for me.
This bike has a screen which shows you real video that pro riders videoed as they rode this particular route that you have chosen for any particular ride. Yesterday I rode in Norway and today I rode in Australia. One day I made my own route up, and to my surprise, as I rode the 5 mile route to work, it showed me all of the houses, schools, and businesses that I pass in reality every day. And it was very high quality video. Pretty cool!!!
I am still riding at the "very light effort" resistance as I build up stamina. I rode 8.3 miles on Wednesday, 10.3 miles on Thursday, 11 miles on Friday, and 6.1 miles already today. I will ride again this evening.
So far I'm really enjoying it. So much better than a treadmill. Wow!!!0 -
