Activity Level?

I'm hoping I can get some advice on which activity level I should use.

I have a desk job, no kids and I admit I sit around ALOT. I do workout, I'm just not moving around alot during the rest of my day.

My workouts consist of the following:
Stronglifts 5x5 (Monday/Wednesday/Friday). I'm not up to the really heavy lifts yet so my total workout (per workout) only takes about 20-25 mins. (I am increasing pretty regularly once I master the correct form and all my sets with current weight)

Cardio (Tuesday/Thursday) usually elliptical set on level 5 or 6 for 20 mins. If not elliptical, than I'll do a 20-30 youtube full body cardio workout.

Weekends - currently not really much. Occasionally I'll do the elliptical.

So currently I chose "lightly active" because I don't feel like what I'm doing really adds up to the "moderate 3-5 hours".

What do you guys think? Thanks!!

No, the about 2 hrs time doesn't add up much, and lifting only burns a little more than fast walking during the workout, combined with daily activity that sounds sedentary.
No kids then, right, with the household that would go along with it?

Lightly-Active and then round up to the nearest 100.

You'll be adjusting anyway as you get up there - and it may be spring then and more active anyway.
Or more food and exercise will make you more active too.

Well now I feel guilty for saying no kids - I have one, it's just that he's 23 and out of the house so I'm not chasing him around lol.

Yea I was thinking that my total workout time at 2 hours isn't really much either. My plan is to up my activity more each week. After a long break from my fitbit, I put it back on this morning to try to get a reading from that.

I think if I increase my cardio on Tuesdays/Thursdays and add cardio to the weekends, I can maybe go up to moderate.

    Thanks for replying Heybales.

Well, no kids that require a certain kind of attention and level of activity. We won't tell him ;-)

Going by steps, it's normally found that Sedentary is up to 4K steps. so that will be good gauge.

Also been found that increased daily activity has a bigger bearing on successful goal weight maintenance, not increased exercise.

Either don't worry about your activity level (if truly sedentary) and make your original planned workouts really good, or just increase your daily activity and keep good strong workouts.
