NSV July 21st

It has been a great week this week. Although a lot of the stresses have still been there, I'm emotionally handling them MUCH better.

So, NSVs...hmmm..

1. I DID NOT eat the chocolate chip cookies at work on Friday. Honestly, I didn't even want them, but the girls in the office are sometimes food-pushers. I *may* have acted like I was busy so they passed by my office. ;)

2. I went through my closet and was able to give up a lot of clothing; even the SUPER cute yellow dress I bought in December that I only wore 2ce. It was just WAY too big!

3. I drove from my house to my dad's - a normal 6 1/2 hour drive that took 9 hours due to Chicago traffic - and I DID NOT get gas station junk food! Not even once. I had oranges, apples, and pistachios packed for me and the kids. Also - I've been here 2 days, and am doing AWESOME on my calories an choices.

4. I'm holding my ground with friends and such so far. Usually when I come back to Michigan, my time is spent running all over the place seeing people. People demanding time, getting pissed if I don't go and see them, a lot of bars and fried food eating, etc. This time, however, I've told people that I'm NOT doing it. I've already made the drive this far, they can drive to my dad's to see me. I can control the intake of crap MUCH easier if I'm not at the bar, and I'm learning to not be a doormat. :)
