    That is excellent, @EbonyDahlia !It takes a lot of courage and determination to make such a life change. I am sorry to hear about your dad. You are on the right track. Insulin resistance is also known as Metabolic Syndrome, or pre-diabetes. Usually start seeing rising fasting BG labwork, high cholesterol, weight gain, belly getting larger (especially in relation to the rest of the body) just to name a few. Good luck on losing the rest :)
