So February has come to an end, and so has my first month back at low carb after at least a year of damage. I lost 10 pounds...despite 2-3 cheating moments of booze & carbage. Sadly, I think I failed at all my goals (no weighing, no drinking, no cheating, and eating slower). I did take my measurements and lost some inches since the 1st, so that made me happy.

Now with March, I'm wanting to add regular exercise into my routine. I already walk daily with my dogs, but since I like to let them sniff, it's a pretty leisurely pace. So I want to start adding things in like squats, lunges, planks, and 5 pound hand weight exercises. I also bought some exercise bands last year that I never used, so I'd like to try to incorporate those. Anyone else use the bands and have favorite exercises for them?

My resistance bands are still sitting in the bag they came in :smirk: ...but I'm sure there are a couple workouts on Youtube that might help. I did go as far to look for some after hubby gave them to me.

    Yo!
I'm still here. I've been reading. I'm just surly and in a pissy mood lately so I'm just staying quiet.
Did nothing productive this weekend. Ate too much.

    Did a Hero90 workout today...whew. I'll only be doing low-impact tomorrow.
That's all I'm going to say cuz like I said. Me=pissy.
I'll get the new challenge up tomorrow.
Have a good rest of your day.

How's about some SuperLoriLove, eh? ;)<3:*

    Thanks @macchiatto.

I did good for the month. Worked my tail off. Lost some inches. Scale didn't care. But pfffft. Considering all the crap going on with me, I'm happy with it.

Last night was terrible. I was woken constantly by foot cramps despite ample electrolytes and mag oil rubbed into my legs. I'm achy this morning. All I need is to develop fibromyalgia with this awful thing... oh well. Still waiting on the bloodwork results and for the dr to set up the adrenal testing. I just keep getting worse... Feel free to imagine an epic eye-roll from me.

    Annnnnyway.....

Goal: Walk 80 miles in February, 3.5 mph or greater.

76.5 miles of yesterday so 3.5 miles to goal. I thought.

I was waiting for my phone to charge so decided to double check my month to date mileage on runkeeper. 3 times. Grrrrr. 5.81 miles needed to hit 80 miles. And so I walked...

Today = 6.09 miles. 3.79 mph. Increased speed from no backpack, no groceries, fewer elevation changes. I walked the flat land. Done.

Finished Feb with a 11.3 minute mile. Goal was 10 and I didnt quite make it but considering where I was end of Jan I'm pleased. Did a total of 2.3 miles in 30 min.

Its clear lung capacity is an issue. Not sure what's causing it (other than being out of shape) guess I expected better results 28 days in.

Onward and upward! Have that 10k looming.

Today has been good! Calories and carbs are on track. I've decided my exercise goal is run MWF and strength Th/Sat. Now I just need to keep my evening snacking under control! (I only have about 100 calories left.)

    February wrap-up:

I'm pretty happy with my compliance, particularly my activity goals. I am, however disappointed that I only lost 5 pounds. I don't feel like I could hit it much harder, particularly on a long-term basis, and it's just a drop in the bucket for the weight I need to lose. Oh well. I guess it'll take however long it takes. Just wish I could press the fast forward button.

Yeh, hit my goals for work outs and reduced alcohol. Usually February is the beginning of the slide for me after a good January. This forum has helped to keep me on track.

Even better my weight is falling steadily and I have much more energy. Started boxing classes last month and really enjoying the workout :)

Hi! Just wanted mention a new low impact but supposedly highly effective workout called Piyo. Have you heard of it? It's kinda expensive but there's a bootleg version lol called toned by ten and it's supposed to be just as good and waaay more affordable. Google it if you like :) Hope you are having a better day today!

There are Piyo videos on youtube. Those i have tried were pretty tough- a good workout but i fail to see the Pi-yo pilates/yoga connection. Thanks for mentioning. I'll add a couple in March.

2/28: another sick day. Carbs good. Weight good. Neglected to take collagen. No workout. I took some trash out if that counts as a chore. Not a great end to February due to illness but otherwise a stellar month.
