Your Personal Results
1395 kcal Daily Calorie Intake
20 g Carbs (6%, 80 kcal)
115 g Protein (33%, 460 kcal)
95 g Fat (61%, 855 kcal)
vs
http://www.ruled.me/keto-calculator/
Results
1802 kcal Daily Calorie Intake
20 g Net Carbs (4%, 80 kcal)
115 g Protein (26%, 461 kcal)
140 g Fat (70%, 1262 kcal)
Can someone explain this to me? I entered the same details in both. Same body fat %. Same height and weight. Same 20% deficit for weight loss. Same level of activity (Sedentary with NO exercise). How is there 400 calories difference? These are the two main keto calculators that thousands of people use. 50 to 100 calories difference I could probably live with, but this throws the usefulness of both into question.

Same thing when I used them when starting keto.....That's why I wasn't really sure where I should be with calories at all....
I ended up going towards the lower end, then increased a little when I felt like I wasn't eating enough calories.1 -
I use the top one, to be honest I cannot comment on why the results are so different as I have no idea. I will await one of the other members to answer that one. Personally I looked at various normal calorie calculators, and they were for me all close to ankerl so I chose that one.2

I ran my numbers on the two you have above and Ketogains.
ankerl is low for what they seem to call TDEE which in their case is BMR (1213)+TEF (121) =1334 (TDEE) for me. No additional calories for sedentary.
ruled me gives BMR (1303) + TEF (130) =1433 then adds in additional calories for sedentary TDEE (1648)
Ketogains is identical to ruledme calling the BMR (1303) +TEF (130) and when I click on sedentary for activity level, no additional calories are added for activity so TDEE is 1433. Same as ruledme but without added sedentary calories. If I click on lightly active I get something more similar (1605) ruled me TDEE.
Ankerl seems to be using a formula different from ruled me and keto gains for BMR.
TEFs are about the same for all three.
TDEEs are similar at sedentary for ankerl and ketogains but ruled me adds more calories for sedentary. ankerl and ketogains do not.
I think I am about in the middle of 1433 and 1605.3 -

Try this one. You'll probably get something close to ankerl and ketogains. I get a bmr of 1216 and a TDEE of 1466 for me.2 -
Interesting! I have no idea; thanks to @kpk54 for figuring out the difference for us! Adding calories for sedentary makes a lot more sense to me since it's not like you're not moving all day!
Of course I had to try this for myself. For a 20% deficit I got this from ankerl:
Here are your personal macros:
1157 kcal Daily Calorie Intake
25 g Carbs (9%, 100 kcal)
77 g Protein (27%, 308 kcal)
83 g Fat (64%, 749 kcal)
(Ouch! I lost at 1350 cals/day at a fairly healthy pace.)
From ruled.me:
1331 kcal Daily Calorie Intake
20 g Net Carbs (6%, 80 kcal)
58 g Protein (17%, 232 kcal)
113 g Fat (77%, 1020 kcal)
From KetoDiet Buddy:
Calories to consume: 1276 kcal
Your fat intake should be: 105 grams
Net Carbs Protein Fat
25 grams 57 grams 105 grams
8 % 18 % 74 %0 -
Keto Diet Buddy http://ketodietapp.com/Blog/page/KetoDiet-Buddy
Calories to consume: 1461 kcal
Carbs 25 grams
Protein 85 grams
Fat 114 grams

@macchiatto did you click on sedentary (or whatever you chose on the others) and get increased calories over the 1331 for what they say is your TDEE or is the 1331 with the added calories?0

For all of them I clicked sedentary and 20% deficit (trying to mimic OP's for comparison's sake) so that's not TDEE. RuledMe gave me BMR=1315, TEF=132 (BMR+TEF=1447), TDEE if sedentary was listed as 1664, so the 1331 was with a 20% deficit.1 -

Both the ruled and KG calcs were primarily developed by Darth Luigi. I do think Craig made some minor modifications to the ruled one though, based on his own personal experiences.0
