I was logging one of these today and more than one that I chose from stated that the carbs and fiber were the same amount, 7.5 grams. Is that true? Are they then carb free?

Fiber calories are counted as carbs.
But many of us here only track net carbs (total carbs - fiber).
You can find a discussion on total & net carbs
(and many other topics) on in the intro guide to LC issues here:

Sounds off a bit.
They are high in fiber but the carbs are generally higher than the fiber0 -
I eat a mess of avocados so looked at the entry i use which shows .5 net carbs per ounce. Then looked at 15-20 more and most are about the same @ 1.5-2 net carbs per 100 grams which is ~3.5 ounces which is ~.5 cup.
I have about 80 items i eat with some frequency so have, through time, searched each of those for "the best/most accurate" data entry then saved it by the ounce ( tablespoon, cup, whichever is appropriate) in "my meals". This makes diary entry just a quick click and amount adjustment. I have no clue how MFP determines my "frequent foods" list but it sure isn't accurate and i tired quickly of searching 50 entries for one correct entry.0 -
Darn it! I thought maybe I had come upon the Eldorado of the keto world!0
