What recipes do you make for at party's day that are Keto friendly? My plan this far is corned beef, michalob Ultra, small amount of cabbage, and maybe some roasted cauliflower. Anyone else have some good recipes/ideas?

Sounds pretty good. I personally don't eat anything special since I don't like corned beef but I think you're on the right track. BTW it's St. Paddy's day short form for Patrick (ie St. Patrick) is Paddy not Patty a girl's name hehe1

Cabbage and bacon I hope?1

Even the Irish side of my family has never made anything special. I never have but I may have to this year, and steal your menu0

Normally I'd have my Guinness and Bass for Black and Tans.... that's one down side to Keto. I don't drink usually during the rest of the year but St. Patrick's day has always been that one night!1

I will be having corned beef and cabbage. There won't be any potatoes or carrots this year.0

I love SPD because of getting corned beef on sale especially *after*!1

I'll cook the traditional corned beef, cabbage, carrots (which symbolizes the colors of the Irish flag), and red potatoes. I'll eat the meat and cabbage, and will probably make more vegetables for myself. Maybe broccoli with cheese sauce.0

I've never made corned beef before but I might try it with cabbage this year. We don't usually make anything special. DH is like 1/8 Irish so that's all we've got.0

I may also include celery root, as it is pretty low carb. If you want more color to in your meal (to make up for the lack of carrots), use a colored cauliflower!0

For you die hard corned beef fans, Alton Brown of the Food Network has a recipe for the best EVER. You'll need to get going if you want to try it, however. Some of the ingredients I had to order online and the brining process takes ten days. It is totally worth it. That stuff you buy at the grocery store which shamelessly calls itself "corned beef" doesn't come close in either flavor or tenderness.
Don't be alarmed by the time estimate of 243 hours and 30 minutes. That includes the ten days while the beef is in your fridge and your work consists of turning the meat once a day.

I'm going to add radishes in place of the red potatoes in the crockpot.0

I have a friend from Ireland, she tells me they just hope to have some meat, either mutton or if they are really lucky, lamb on St. Patrick's Day. Corned beef is an Irish American tradition. The tradition that is shared is plenty of beer. After I learned about that I started enjoying lamb stew. The idea above about using radish instead of red potatoes sounds perfect to me. I'm not a beer drinker so I have red wine with the stew.
I learned from a recent DNA test, that I am about 46% Irish so this holiday might become more important in the future. It is however, my husband's birthday, so we always did something, just might have a tad more meaning for me now.
Whatever you do, have a wonderful SPD.0
