Confused about dairy allowance

Hi everyone! I am confused on the dairy free aspect. A little background. I have hashimotos and have been gluten and dairy free for over a year now and find that it helps me alot, including blood antibodies lowering.

I always considered goats and sheep milk to be dairy. Is this not the case? Does anyone who is dairy free before this consume goats/sheep's milk products? I am just wondering if it is inflammatory and such as cows milk is. I believe that'd why it is said to not consume dairy with auto immune diseases.

Thanks for reading!

I have read that goat and sheep milk/products are not inflammatory in the same way. I will try to find some suitable links for you.

Randomly jersey cow milk is also less inflammatory... I must find that article.

I believe that sheep and goat don't have the "A1" that the article talks about.
