I'm starting Keto tomorrow because I want to lose my vacation weight gain plus more. I struggled with low fat high carb diets but they make me crave more and I end up overeating of binging. I'm very active (2 hour intense cardio) and I don't want to give that up but I don't want to lose my energy and would like some tips on how to keep my energy and possible gain more on keto. What are some good food option for me? I can easily put away a lot of food because I have a huge appetite and would like to control that on this diet. I also have a sweet tooth. It would help if I got some advice and some recipes that could help me stay satisfied, control my appetite, give me energy, and what should be my total carb intake.

You might have a short-term reduction in energy, but it should be tolerable. In time, you will adapt and get back to where you were (or even higher) when it comes to energy except it will seem limitless. You won't crash or find yourself out of it in the middle of stuff.1

If you're willing to invest the time to read about the nooks and crannies of Keto, then:
1. Read through this forum's sticky thread LCD Launchpad, and
2. Get a good guidebook to keep you company, like New Atkins for a New You..2 -
I'm a newbie, too. Only 8 days in. Feel great. I definitely second the recommendation of reading all the stickied posts at the top. They were incredibly helpful for me. And get lots of sodium. I'm blown away by how increasing it can instantly take me from feeling TERRIBLE to feeling up and good again, like within minutes. But read the stickies. And welcome!3
