Periods Keto Help

Ok maybe a strange question but since I spent months researching Keto before I started and didn't see anything about this I need to ask here. Have any of you ladies lost a ton of weight overnight after your period ends? I lost 4 pounds overnight which I'm sure is water weight since I'm not bloated anymore but it seems strange to me...Any insight?

yup, I usually gain a little (or stay the same for a while) during/before my period. And once it ends I am usually down a couple.
How long have you been keto? It could also be your first whoosh!

Ah! Thank you! I was a little worried, I stayed about the same between 232.3 and 231.6 then this morning bam down to 227.6!!! I figured it was the case because of my period, haven't seen anything about the "woosh" in my research, today marks 1 week on Keto1 -
I tend to go up/down 4-6 lbs every cycle, so for me an overnight 4 lb loss would be totally normal at that time of month.2

Thank you! Now I know not to be freaked out when I step on the scale and it isn't moving, I don't have regular periods this one kind of snuck up on me, if I would have known I probably would have waited to start Keto cause of the typical sugary chocolate cravings lol1 -

Happens to me too. The first time I stalled/gained during my period I was all upset, but the extreme whooshing after was worth it. I lost that water weight and then some
Also, regarding surprise periods: going keto kickstarted my cycle again, so maybe that's what happened to you? This way of eating does seem to help regulate hormones somehow.1 -

Extreme woosh is right! I lost again this morning from 227.6 yesterday to 224.4 today! I wasn't convinced and made my son stand on the scale since he was just weighed at the doc, I thought my scale was broken HAHA! It read his weight to a tee lol I've read the stories online about weight loss and Keto but after being stalled for over 2 years (Went from 450+ to 242) with other diet and exercise programs I figured I'd try Keto. It's exactly what my body needed to kickstart my weight loss again. I'm sure I'll be Keto for life now! I'm also hoping you're right and this will regulate my wacko periods! I had 3 girls in less than 2 years, none of which are twins lol, it totally messed up my hormones!1
