Another excellent presentation by Ivor Cummins.
FYI, he usually follows up on the YouTube vids with PPT/PDFs of his slides at https://www.slideshare.net/ivorcummins/ and on his blog at http://www.thefatemperor.com/blog/

Any idea how to incorporate the density figure into the CAC score? (Michael Eades and others suggest that the Agatston score doesn't take density sufficiently into account...)

Ivor’s Widowmaker available to buy for $1.10
“The Widowmaker Movie 2015 fascinatingly reveals how big business puts money ahead of saving lives. But you don't need to be fooled by the shenanigans of the money-grubbers. Find out about the supreme technology to reveal true extent of heart disease in your body - and take action before it's too late....!”

Not where I can watch the movie at this time but did find this short review interesting. I am excited that most all the outside stuff is going to be on hold for a few months.0 -
Good video on what to do to reduce CAC score. Now I just need to get my family to follow a no grain/no added sugar diet and the right supplements.0

@TheDevastator expect that to take some time if ever for family to change WOE's. My family has watched me crawl backwards from my open grave by cutting out sugar and all forms of all grains. While they are moving in the right direction at least mentally and weight wise they all are still sucking up carbs for an energy boost.
I was 63 when I finally realized my old WOE was killing me and when through two weeks of pure hell going off carbs cold turkey. The prior 60 days I had tried and tired again to TAPER off carbs but no dice.
It seems we can only lead by example and that verbal input can be negative for our family. They will stay in the darkness UNTIL their own light bulb shines light on their WOE connection with failing health.
Our kids are now 20 with sound mind so I can not haul them into court to make them eat my WOE.2 -

@cstehansen
I have seen that little video (I think it is in this thread somewhere) discussing how to calculate the density, but that is all I know. I had my CAC score done a couple months ago. I am planning on going back after a year to get it done again. It was higher than I would have liked - which was not a surprise given prior to this WOE, my triglycerides were always high. Now they are typically 50 or less. My HDL was also typically low and as of the last check was 78, so between those changes and incorporating the O-3 and vitamin D3/K2 supplementation, I will see what it is next year and decide what, if anything, to do from there.2 -

My brother wants to do keto after the holidays but everyone else I'm not sure. I'm just leaving good messages for the family to read and tell them I'm doing well on the GAPS diet. @GaleHawkins That's great that you were able to change before your food killed you. I had a struggle to get off carbs especially bread. I'll be leading by my example of good health or die trying.0

I did watch this just now. Last May (after 2.5 years of Keto eating) my CAC score was 9.8 and so in 6 months I get to retest to see if my score has moved and in what direction. We know on average it should be up.
Now I have been on mega dosage of fish oil since 1996 thanks to Amway back in the day. This past Aug 2017 my Vit D was up to 155 ng so that is above the level of 60 ng that he calls for.
In my case it was very hard to get off of carbs but I just viewed it as a do or die issue so that made doing not an option. I just ordered Dr. Davis new book.1 -
