Day 24, 75 squats! Check IN!!!

Hey everyone sorry I have been M.I.A. I am trying my best. Today we only have 75 squats so it should be fairly easy. Take a look at your butts in the mirror today and see the difference. We only have a few more days to go

Morning (here anyway). I swapped my rest days around and did 75 squats yesterday, the reason being I was due to do my 1st 10K tomorrow and wanted to keep my legs free of squats. However, I'm taking a rest day today, as now I don't think I can take part in the run :sad: I've developed a pain to my right side to the back and it might be an infection, got to try and get into the docs today. I know I can't run with such a pain although I really want to as I was really looking forward to it. So annoyed/upset :grumble:
So, rest day for me today and I will do the 130 tomorrow as planned.0 -
So sorry to here this news, Anne. Praying you find some relief! I myself have had an injury sideline me. though I have not gained any weight, I have not lost any either. And the worst thing is, i lost my "mmph!" I am slowly getting it back, but there is not a lot I can do so I sympathize with you... I have some idea how you must feel, having had an injury affect me in my own life. :sad: :sad: :sad:
I wonder if these little injuries that we do not like, is God's way of saying :slow down, you are doing too much?" Just a thought.

Thanks for the sentiments cathyg321, much appreciated. I did manage to get to the doc this morning and thankfully it's not an infection but a muscle issue. She injected me with Cortisone to relieve the pain and suggested I stretch daily. So this is what I'll do. I'm going to do 130 squats today and, fingers crossed, I may be able to take part in the run tomorrow.
I do understand what you mean about losing the "umph" after having health issues. I had an operation beginning of June and it put me out for a week or two and I just couldn't "be bothered" to get back into it. I gave myself a good telling off and eventually got my exercise mojo back. Now this! Oh well, just a further challenge to test ones resilience.0 -

Oh, I am SO familiar with those shots! They seem to work INSTANTANEOUSLY, don't they? Careful though... I know you want to run, but don't force your body to do more than it is able to. Those cortisone shots can be a "false positive" in that they make you think your body is able to do more than it physically can at this point. Did you mention the run to the doctor? If so, what did she suggest?

75 done...definitely notice the difference after almost a month...legs are stronger than before and my tush is looking better!0

I did mention to my doc that I wanted to run and she didn't seem concerned. She said to keep moving and stretching so running might do it good. It's when I sit for too long it feels more painful. I will be sensible though and not run if I don't feel able.
I completed 130 squats today as I want tomorrow as my rest day.
And well done you for doing more squats than necessary, that's dedication (or madness) not sure which :happy:0 -

Thank you kindly. I got some Cortisone injection yesterday from my doc, so that should help. I'm going to try and run but it's super hot here with me today, just to add to everything else.0 -
