I am thinking about doing a 24-hour water fast to try to help induce ketosis. I am going to have a cup of coffee because I don’t want to go through caffeine withdrawals at the same time. Should I also have a tablespoon or two of MCT oil? I have been having MCT oil for a couple weeks and might not want to lose that streak. Or, is it better to stick to water (with my coffee cup exception)? My goal isn’t to be able to say that I did a 24-hour fast, it’s to help with ketosis. So, maybe the exceptions will help me with my goal. . .

    I would just stick to the water (and 1 cup of coffee), I keep to the thought that anything more than 50 calories is breaking your fast. So, maybe take your MCT oil just before starting the fast, and then break your fast with the MCT oil? so technically you are still taking it everyday.
