So I'll call this a cheat I ate a few bites of coleslaw salad my mom makes yesterday at dinner, it has ramen noodles in it. Today I'm totally bloated and the scale is up a few pounds and I feel like garbage! Those few bites were so not worth this! I've learned my lesson lol

I quit trusting coleslaw years ago when I learned that people put sugar in theirs. *gag* WHO WANT'S SWEET CABBAGE?!?!?

apparently a lot of people I've learned.

I made a low carb coleslaw yesterday with heavy whipping cream instead of mayonnaise. It was yummy!

We use Duke's mayo, and it has no carbs. Duke's and some vinegar on some shredded cabbage is pretty good.

I make my own coleslaw with homemade mayo and HWC. It does call for sweetener, I use stevia. It has 3 net carbs for a cup. I had some tonight it is fabulous.

Celery seed. It appears I make coleslaw as others do but I always add celery seed.

I make my own coleslaw, at home, with my own home-made mayo and have never, but never had to add any type of sweetener, artificial or otherwise.

Honestly ladies - find a great recipe on line that omits any form of sweetener at all!
This is the problem with the diet we've all hitherto grown up with - it's given us the impression that a lot of foods require some form of sweetener, which is a total fallacy.
    It's a question of re-educating our palates.....

Nigel Slater is one of the best-known and highly-respected chefs in the UK. He's got credentials here as long as your arm.

    here's his recipe.
I use it regularly. Try it yourself; I guarantee, you'll never look back....

I make coleslaw at home with Paleo mayo, I HATE sweet coleslaw, so just the mayo with some added garlic and onion powder does it for me.

Unless I am doing Mexican then it is Mexican coleslaw, made with ACV and jalapenos, yummo stuff.
