I just started the 30 day keto cleanse by author maria emmerich. The book was awesome and she pretty much lays it all out for you, so other than following a recipe and using the grocery buying list I didn't have to do much. But my main concern is after my 30 days, where I would be on my own, I am not a stupid person, but for some reason are having a hard time figuring out what my % for protein/fat/carbs should be. My doctors want me at a minimum of 60 grams of protein every day, and yet I feel like I am falling short of that. Any advice to this newbie would be awesome.

Are you tracking your food through My Fitness Pal? It has a nutrition button that calculates your macros.

Yes I am tracking of course, but some days my protein is fairly low.

What is your fitness goals? Excessive protein gets stored as sugar and will kick you out of Ketosis. It is better to be under your protein requirements than over. If you crave sugars that is because your protein percentages are low. Eat more chicken tenders between your scheduled meals.

Tuna is a great in between filler.

I'm not craving sugar but my doctor wants me at least at 60 grams of protein a day. I'm not really having cravings, I'm just saying that I am on the 30 day keto cleanse, so all the food is mapped out for me, but when I do it on my own what should my ratios be like 80% fat, etc.

Are you meeting your calories for the day and your protein is not 60 percent? Look at my food diary to give you an idea. I can look at your food dairy and we can make some adjustments. Hopefully your doctor is supportive of the Keto diet. FYI, water is the cleansing agent. Your getting rid of the carbohydrate inflammation.

I drink about 11-13 glasses of water a day, not a problem for me at all, its pretty much all I drink. Now the food from the keto recipes come up much less on myfitnesspal than what the author has for calories, I plugged in all the ingredients but you know how ingredients are sometimes on myfitnesspal, so that could be the issue in seeming lower than what is projected from the recipes in the book. I'm just concerned about after I do the 30 day cleanse, I want to make sure I stay in my range, I'm not so much worried right now. I do workout, I do a workout by zbody.com, which is weights and HIIT, so my schedule looks like this I do arms, abs and hiit M, Tuesday is my rest day so I usually will just go for a walk with a friend, Wed is Legs, Bum and Abs, Arms and Hiit on Thursday, Back, Chest and Abs on Friday, Saturday is Legs, Bum and Hiit and Sunday another rest day I typically will do a walk or Yoga, I do like to do one yoga session a week to really stretch out from my other workouts.
