I saw this article in the paper this morning showing that higher sodium may actually be associated with lower blood pressure. I thought it might help to re-assure some people that it really is ok to increase sodium especially when eating low carb.

"Consuming fewer than 2,500 milligrams of sodium daily is actually associated with higher blood pressure, according to the Framingham Offspring Study report, given today. The American Heart Association recommends consuming no more than 2,300 milligrams of sodium daily, equal to a teaspoon of ordinary iodized table salt."
Stephen Phinney has been saying it's more dangerous to cut your sodium from 5g to 2g than to raise it from 5g to 8g. I wonder what the quaking AHA would say about that?!?5
