WELCOME everyone!!
Wow, I think it is finally spring here.
So....what will your challenge be this month?
Are you going to walk outside, or are you going to find some walking DVD's and walk inside? Will you make your miles on a bicycle? a treadmill?
May has so much to offer for the outdoors, for me ... I love to garden. Sit down with your coffee this morning and put a plan together. I use a calendar and start with marking on it appointments, my days with grandkids and any other social engagements. This way I can see what is happening and when so I make sure I get "my time" and don't overbooked myself.
This group is open to any and all walkers. However you get your walk in, come on in and join us! Post your miles or minutes that you have walked, however you did it... it is all good!
Together we will motivate, challenge, as well as inspire each other.
Set your goal for how many miles or minutes that you want to walk, indoors or out, this month. This is your own personal goal . Post your results daily, weekly, or whenever you like.
There is no set time to start this challenge, join us at anytime, log when you can.

I have finally finished all my taxes and bookkeeping jobs. My social calendar is not that full. This is my first spring being retired. So I can tour greenhouses whenever I want now!
And the muddy trails are drying up so I can head out and get some steps in.

My May goals are to ramp up my cardio - to hopefully burn off some winter-fluff and develop a schedule. I do so much better when I can just go on auto-pilot!
I am doing another Workweek Hustle, I need something to motivate me and competition does that.

Busy day, putting the plexiglass on the greenhouse, finishing the window washing, walked my puppy dog, and even had time to get a haircut.0 -
Quick check in...I will be back...we move a week from today ...into our very own home. Ernestine has been going to the vet three times a week during this time...but she is doing great for a little one that was so close to the edge.
Ready to start posting again and especially include my swim ... pool is 100 yards from my back door. So excited about that...and loads of walking ... with grass everywhere. Ernestine is so excited about that!
I did not fall off the face of the earth...it's just been so hectic with the move ... will be back on Mother's Day...have missed my routine here.

I am so happy it is Friday and this challenge is almost over . . . I did earn 2 Fitbit badges this week 40K Cleat and the 45K Snowboot - Yeah! I honestly surprised myself with the first one and then took a shoot at the second one - Now I know things can happen, taking a chance is always worth it!

I thought Spring would bring some new energy, it brought something! Feels like confusion and mayhem I just don't seem to be able to focus, not sure if that really is a bad thing, it keeps me moving around but not really in the way I want. It's usually looking for something I forgot where I put it.
For Mother's Day I asked to take a walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, I figured after 40+ years in San Francisco I should do that at least once. This morphed into completing the FitBit NYC Marathon 26.2 Miles
I am excited to report that I did completed it, earned 4 New Badges plus the FitBit Goal Day Badge - 27.53 miles / 66,955 steps. It honestly was not as bad as I thought it would and would do it again as a way of exploring the city.
