Counting Carbs Vs. Counting Calories

hey, this is my first day back on atkins sine i've switched to low calorie. I know where supposed to count carbs instead of calories on atkins so realistically your calories are gonna go up. I customized my Food diary to lower my carbs but what do I do if I exceed my calories since i'm not really counting them? I don't want it to come off as negative like oh hes porking out.

I think you might actually be surprised at your calorie count when cutting carbs... it kind of naturally curbs the calories without really realizing it
I still keep my calories under 1600 personally, but I'm not specifically doing Atkins- just low carb.0 -
Ive not gone over calories either and im always so surprised! And if you do but stay under your carbs, you've met your goal!0

Ditto what they said.
When I started at the beginning of June I was at about 2000 calories per day, but then ketosis kicked in and now I have to force myself to eat over 1200. I try for 1400, but don't always make it. Even so, there are always exceptions. Heck, I had one yesterday and was at 1,650.
But, tabik30 and meowmisu are right on the money. Best of luck, you'll do fine.0
