First time intermitttent fasting - maybe a problem

My normal eating is from 9:15am till midnight - 5 or more "meals" - ketogenic 50gr carbs

First day fasted from 2pm till 2pm was just fine - did 50 minutes weights at the gym at 11am with no issues.

Second day - ate 1pm till 9pm, fasted till 1pm - took a 5000 step walk in the morning - but low energy.

Third day like 2nd.

Problem is [besides the low energy] is that I'm waking at 6am when my normal wake time is 8:30 and can't get back to a deep sleep. Someone told me its because i'm not eating before bed time [which I've been doing for year] and my blood sugar is messed up.

I read in another post that lack of magnesium can be the cause of not sleeping well.

Fasting will at first cause a lot of extra energy (there is a scientific reason but I can’t remember it LOL). It used to bug me when I first started every-other-day fasting to lose 30 lbs. I had a hard time sleeping on fast days but soon realized that I wasn’t tired during the day after my fast even tho I hadn’t gotten as much sleep as usual, so I accepted it -even welcomed the extra energy fasting gave me. Now I’m only 4 lbs away from goal weight and only do 2 24 hour fasts a week, 16:8 the other 5 days. My body adapted and I no longer have trouble sleeping on my 24 hour fasts.
