So mom has been wanting to lose weight. I told her that she should look into the Keto diet as it has a lot Of good things going for it. She didnt.
Well, last night she was raving about how she is in this diet that she found and that she gets to eat steak, cheese, REAL butter, veggies, and *whipped cream* (imagine exaggeration inserted). She was so happy that she wasn't hungry.
Mmmmmm..,,
I looked at her diet book. It is called The Shepards diet. In the first chapter (that she skipped), it says in italics that it is a low carb high fat moderate protein diet.
It made me laugh.

How on earth did she stumble onto it?

I have a set of brushes, and a roller, and a tray, and a large can of emulsion, and overalls, and my furniture is all covered, and there's a dust-sheet on the ground.

    But I'm not really painting/decorating. ;)

@AlexandraCarlyle, I'll bite - is it the can of emulsion that's LC?

The name of it and that the book gives scripture references that support the diet.

It reminded me of another thread concerning the bad press out there for 'low carb' diets and how it keeps people from trying it.
I smile that someone rebranded it to appeal to someone like my mom. I'm just happy she is doing it, I don't care what she wants to call it.

Now I want to read that!
