1. Fad diets are nothing new. They have been around for years, it is a way to quickly lose weight in an unhealthy way.
2. Lord Bryon was the first person to come up with this diet. He had a diet consisting mostly of vinegar.
3. The target audience is mostly young woman who want to lose weight but men have body image problems as well.
4. 5 characteristics of the diet - no exercise is required, you can eat whatever you want, super pills that block absorption of fat, rapid weight loss
5. The expections is to lose weight as quickly as possible
6. The results are unhealthy weight loss that will quickly come back.
7. I don't think that this diet is relastic because basically it sounds too good to be true. You are putting strain on your body and losing water weight that will eventually come back quicker.
8. one thing that I notice right away that you can't eat whatever you want an expect to lose weight. You have to make sure that you're burning more calories than you're eating. If you eat mcdonalds all day and take a magic pill you can't expect to lose 20 lbs.
9. THE BABY FOOD DIET ( EWWWW)
Replacing two meals a day with baby food, usually breakfast and dinner. You become so hungry that eventually all you will want to eat is carbs. Expected to lose 5 lbs in a week but you are miserable by the end of it.
10. The Canadian food guide makes sure that you have 7 grams veggies and fruit 7 grams grains 3-4 grams of milk or alternative and 3 grams of protein. When you eat baby food all it is is purred fruit and veggies (if you eat the non meat ones) you are BARELY getting the amount of vegetables and fruit that are needed. You aren't getting any protein, any milk and any and NO grains. Basically your body will be lacking the amount of nutrients you need for your body to properly function. This results in weight loss but it is very unhealthy.0 -
1. Fad diets were introduced to the general public around 2000 years.
2. The first person in the history of fad diets was a man by the name of Lord Byron, he had a diet consisting mostly of straight vinegar.
3. The target audience was made up of young girls and women who were willing to loose weight fast.
4. 5 characteristics of these diets are that no exercise is needed, you can eat what you want, when you want due to taking weight loss pills.
5. The expectations of the diet is to loose weight quickly as possible.
6. The results are unhealthy for weight loss and the weight will quickly come back.
7. I don't think that these types of diets are realistic because of the amount of exercise that isn't needed and that amount of bad foods are "aloud"
8. I noticed right away that there are plenty of things wrong with this "perfect diet" from the lack of exercise, to unhealthy foods and unrealistic weight loss pills.
9. If a baby can grow up eating the mushy stuff, eating some definitely won’t hurt you, but guess what: You aren’t a baby. Dieters replace breakfast and lunch with about 14 jars of baby food (most baby food jars contain 20 and 100 calories apiece), and then they eat a low-calorie dinner. It’s easy to get too few calories for your body to run its best, Ochner says. Besides, who really wants to take jars of baby food to work each day?

1. A fad diet is a diet that promises quick weight loss through what is usually an unhealthy and unbalanced diet. Fad diets are targeted at people who want to lose weight quickly without exercise
2. Tyra Banks introduced the tapeworm diet to women in 2009.
3. The target audience is people who have tried "everything" to lose weight or morbidly obese people desperate to lose weight while eating whatever they want.
4. Tapeworms Reduce Calories, the idea is that introducing tapeworm into the body means that the food you eat is split between your own body and that of the tapeworm. You are a host and tapeworm uses you by attaching suckers to your stomach and feeding on the foods that you eat. Possessing tapeworms is illegal in America and unavailable as a legitimate treatment for weight loss. Some side effects of the tapeworm diet include: Abdominal pain, weakness, headache, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, and bloating.
5. The expectations of this diet are; you'll lose up to 2 pounds per week while eating whatever you want, when you reach your desired weight, you simply take an antibiotic that kills the tapeworm and its expelled from your body.
6. The results of the tapeworm diet is severe malnutrition.
7. This diet is realistic because you do end up losing weight, but it can be very dangerous as the tapeworm could move from the digestive system to the brain or eyes.
8. This diet is unhealthy because the tapeworm is eating everything you eat, and could result in malnutrition.
