Food Concoctions

I had tuna mixed with *drumroll* peanut butter.
Yes... peanut butter.
& it was pretty darn good!
One can of tuna, tablespoon or two of mayo, pickle relish, pepper, and a tablespoon of natural peanut butter.
What crazy food concoction have you tried? Was it a hit or miss?

I like cottage cheese with diced avocado, salt, pepper, and garlic powder...YUM
cream cheese with sliced olives, not sure if that's an odd one since it's actually and old fashioned cracker spread, but it doesn't seem to be common these days and it sinfully delicious either plain or on pork rinds...1 -
I regularly eat my pork rinds with pimento cheese.
I also put the pimento cheese on celery.
The weird thing is before this WOE, I never ate pimento cheese.1 -
Have you tried pork rind cereal?? Sounds weird but so delicious!
Tablespoon or two of butter, browned, add sweetener, tablespoon or two of heavy cream, and cook on low until it looks like a caramel sauce. Coat pork rinds with sauce. Refrigerate for 20 minutes. Add cinnamon and almond milk...delicious. Like Cinnamon Toast Crunch.2 -

Interesting. I may have to try this. I don't use any sweetener right now. I may try it without that first.1 -

Not a fan of pork rinds. But that sauce sounds awesome...2 -
Before eating LC I used to make olive and cream cheese wraps - I miss it. I guess I'll have to make my own cream cheese & egg wrap. BTW - a nearby health food type restaurant actually serves cream cheese and olive sandwiches. Kinda funny.0

I tried this once and it worked so well I've done it regularly. Make Jello like the box says (sugar free), but add in cubed cream cheese. In a pie plate it gels perfectly like a pie without a crust and you can make any fruit flavor Jello comes in.
I've tried using less water but it doesn't really make a difference except in volume so now I use the whole 2 cups water. I've tried various amounts of cream cheese but I think 2 cups works best. It's pretty high in fat due to the cheese and just under three total carbs a slice (if a pie means 8 slices). Also, I mix it for two minutes so all the air makes it pretty fluffy which even translates as it chills.1 -
Hey - that reminds me of a 1980's popular Jello recipe I used to make combining Jello with Cool Whip and pouring it into a prepared pie crust! Thanks for that idea.0

I like cottage cheese mixed with tuna.0

Peanut butter and dill pickles. Probably not unusual to some folks. I've eaten it since I was a kid (and that is a long time).1

Cole slaw mix + LC ranch dressing (one cup mayo, one-fourth cup coconut milk, splash of sherry vinegar, garlic/herb spice mix to taste) + one package of Planters Nutrition mixed nuts for extra crunch.2

Peanut butter and bacon is an amazing combo!!! Or at least it was while I was pregnant!3

A physio client of mine used to eat jam and bacon sandwiches for breakfast EVERY morning.... but then again he had a brain injury from a motorcycle accident. I like a coleslaw mix with raw whole cranberries and pumpkin seeds with full fat ranch dressing.1

O.M.G.- I am totally going to try this ^^
I experiment with mashing different foods together, it's fun.
My other half thinks I am weird, lol, but I've surprised him a time or two.1 -

My family calls my coffee my "concoction". It isn't outrageous around here, but it involves sea salt, a few drops of stevia, nutmeg, cloves, coconut cream or whipped cream, and a bit of whey protein powder.
My second son tends to mix up his words on occasion. The other day he announced to the family that I was making another "Caucasian". LOL I told him that my caucasion making days are over. We all laughed so hard we were crying.6
