They came! Honest opinion. They taste funny at first. Kinda like a slight cat urine smell taste undertone in a sour cream and onion tortilla chip taste. I don't really know how to explain it. But as you eat them they taste better. I don't know if that's good or bad!

They feel very much like a thick potato chip or remind me of a homemade tortilla chip. I don't think I'll be ordering them again, but they were worth the shot to know what they were. They do have a really nice crunch. I'll post some pics.

On reflection, I think the cat flavor is the corn. My brain sometimes makes that connection.

If I were a Home Ec teacher and grading the creation of a student, I'd give them a solid D. Maybe bumped to a C just for having only 3 net carbs.

The aren't delicious, but they are definitely passable.

Perhaps this is why they say dogs' feet smell like fritos?

when i first tried these, i definitely almost spit them out. but after eating a couple of bags, they're honestly not so bad. try the sour cream and cheddar ones, those are my favorite (my dad and brother like the BBQ ones). they sell them at my local grocer--over $2 a bag, ay-yaiyai!--and i'll grab about four bags to use to dip into some egg salad or cheese :)

maybe my partiality to them is helped because i've never owned a cat LOL then again, i don't particularly go for the sour cream and onion flavor.

Yeah. I'd say they are an acquired taste. Half an hour after eating them my mouth still tastes like sour cream and onion. I guess on the plus side they took like an hour to eat. So maybe a good tv snack?

I was not impressed with Quest's protein chips either. The only flavor I occasionally tolerate is the BBQ. They are definitely too delicate and fragile (i.e. have no strength) when used with dip and unfortunately, they taste so bad they I found I really had to eat them with a fatty dip of some kind just to get them down.

I agree they are not dipable. They are about as strong as a Lay's regular chip.

I like them! But I can eat just about anything... and I don't have a cat lol
I don't buy them anymore because each bag is $2+ and each bag contains about 6 chips :(

@JessicaLCHF...my favorite kind of "Chips" are parsnip chips from Trader Joe's.

They're not terrible, but they are damned sure not $2 per bag good. I'd rather just buy one of their bars at that cost, or sliver up some coconut and bake it if I really want "chips".

I wish we had that 'round here. Or Sprouts. Or even overpriced Whole Foods. I'm in a little podunk Vermont town. I have to get all specialty food at Amazon or drive into the city which I only do maybe twice a year (Albany, NY).

Just got the BBQ ones. I agree with whoever said they are better than the sour cream and onion. Not bad. Very "potato chippy". Nice crunch. Great side with burgers tonight for Memorial Day while the rest of the family eats regular chips (I call them fatty chips).

If you are looking for something to use in dips, try the fathead crackers recipe, you can add flavorings to them, garlic powder, onion powder, smoke paprika, etc.
    http://www.ditchthecarbs.com/2016/01/29/fathead-crackers/

Or use veggies for dipping, red peppers, jicama, cucumbers, celery, etc.
Reading the ingredients on those Quest chips made me want to run away and hide. YMMV

I do make flax crackers. A recipe I actually made up - but there are lots online I found later. I do a 2:1 ration of flax meal to water. Till it's like play doh. Then roll or press it super thin and bake then dry further in cooling oven. I use broth instead of water for more flavor, and I really like caraway seed (rye bread-ish) in them. But they are not chips. They're not bad (and far better structurally actually) with dip. The Quest chips are an option for me tho. I totally agree with Your Milage May Vary.
