Everyone says it, but just how do you do it? How do you take the guidelines of the WW program and turn them into a lifestyle you can live every day...from now on? That is what we are here to explore. Each weekday, a new topic is offered up for discussion. Newbie? Join in! Veteran? Join in! Your thoughts may be just what someone else needs to hear.

Today's topic: Spring is often considered a time of renewal. Given that today is the last day of meteorological (versus astronomical) spring, do you feel renewed? If so, in what way? If not, what can you work on as we enter summer?

I do feel renewed. As I mentioned yesterday, fishing in Key West right now is hot. The Yellowtail, that make tasty point friendly dinners, are out of their minds. The weather is hot.

I'm going out on the boat today. About 3-4 hours in the sun pouring sweat. My shoulder doesn't hurt when I'm out in the heat. I'll come home tired, hit the pool maybe, shower, eat fish on a big salad. I'll go to bed early and sleep like a rock.

Tomorrow I sit around in the morning, then bike over to a yoga class. Then go to the bait shop and buy some hooks or something.

    Yeah, that's it, renewed.

One thing that happened when I got to goal weight, I got cold. I hadn't been warm I Chicago in 10 years.

@88olds I'm seriously jealous of your summer #lifegoals

Summer is a hard season for me to stay on track because of all the get togethers. I love summer and I love being outdoors, but weight wise it is a challenge. I am committed to doing my best and taking it one day at a time.

I definitely feel better than I did this winter since I've been able to take the dog out every morning for our walk ritual (he flat out refuses if it's below 32 degrees-I try). There's something very refreshing about walking during the sun rise to start the day out right :)

Well, spring hasn't even started much on the high trails I love. I'll feel renewed when the avalanche lilies are blooming.

Yes the first five months of 2017 have been good. Met my pound a week goal, took Introductory courses in Tai Chi and kayaking feel renewed as I approach Onederland,
Ten pounds away from a weight I cannot remember being! I don't recall any thoughts about gaining weight when I went above 200# (5'9") back in my twenties,
But getting below 200# (5'8" now) has been a goal for last two years.

I guess I am some what renewed. I took a step back to view where I once was and where I am today so I am at a better place now even though I have been struggling with weight gain I am now at least maintaining and taking control again. Warmer weather is coming and I have been riding bike for short rides due to my disability's but it feels good to be able to do this.

Jim keep up the good work!!!

I was really hoping for a repeat of the spring of 2016 when I was able to get my weight back down to my happy range by May. That did not happen this year. I struggled with knee and back issues in March and April. I finally am feeling like I'm getting back on plan the past couple of weeks but I have a long ways to go.

On a positive note, I had a very nice work-related trip to Louisville in March, a fun 1/2 marathon with a dear friend on April 1st, and a great trip to Virginia in mid April. This month included a great weekend of hiking in Wisconsin, then another long weekend up in Wisconsin with my husband where I got lot of time on my bike early in the morning while he was still sleeping. And this past weekend I made serious progress on getting our flowerbeds all prettied up. At least my yard looks renewed!

Yes, I'm feeling great. I weigh less than I did in high school, I'm in the best shape of my life. While any given week may see a loss or not, the truth is that I weigh about 80# less than I did at this time last year. That was brought home dramatically over the Memorial Weekend when I saw people that I hadn't seen since the previous Memorial Weekend. People didn't recognize me (or at least, weren't sure). It was fun.

I'm looking forward to getting outside more this summer, playing more tennis than I did last year, and the start of farmer's market season.

Love summer short as it is in the Pac NW but with more daylight and more gatherings with folks after bike rides etc there are more challenges eating wise for me. Hey I can do this thing.
Eating my home grown sugar snap peas by the bucket.

I'm a little gloomy & doomy. We had a mostly cold, mostly wet winter and spring hasn't been a whole lot better. To top them off, those days are pretty darn dark too. That and the state of the country / world has made me pretty humbuggy.
