Hey fellow LCHF folks!
I saw this great video... and wanted to share. Seemed to make a lot of sense in many ways - I know there is a lot of discussion on the calorie in/out thing... wondered what other folks thought of this?

Thanks for posting, he states the case for eating real foods very clearly.

He's an Eat Whole Foods and get some exercise for general health and well being, kind of guy. I concur. I could however get fat if I ate too much salmon and broccoli. The likelihood of that occurring for me is pretty much zero so it becomes another method of not eating too much and regaining weight. I didn't watch the video but have listened to his clips over the years.

I figure he might be saying stuff you've heard before, but I thought the argument for not obsessing over calories b/c the food we eat is satiating all on it's own, it's HARD to over eat it... obsessing over food, for me, is something I really don't want to do, I'd rather food be a natural process I just do... instead of think of ALL the time... if that makes sense.

I have a somewhat different take on this, because I did get fat eating mostly whole foods (and can overeat them easily enough, especially if they are high fat). I'm not saying I have to count calories to avoid it -- I find eating mindfully and being reasonably active is successful along with a good diet (although part of why I'm low carbing is that that helps too even though my higher carb diet was always pretty whole foods based). But the idea that people only get fat if they aren't eating whole foods or are eating a poor diet (for reasons other than excess calories) has always bugged me.

Biggest thing that helps me is just limiting how often I eat (3 meals, no snacks, works for me, but I can see why IF or fewer meals works for some others).
