Off to a good start!

Today is Day 11 of my 16:8 IF lifestyle, and I am loving it! I find it so easy to do, no hunger pangs in the morning (although the Saxenda likely helps with that) and I just drink my sparkly water until noon when I can load up with my first healthy meal. I also find it so much easier to turn down poor foods options because I don't want to sabotage what I'm doing with the fast. Down 4.8 pounds in 10 days! That included higher than usual activity though, due to some extra activities the family took part in, so I certainly don't expect to keep up that pace, but it's a very motivating start!!

I've been IF for almost a month and have seen no change in weight even though I easily stay within/under my calorie goals. I'm at a loss right now and don't know where to go next. Nothing seems to work other than starvation (obviously I am not going to such a drastic measure. I'm simply making a point).0

Through a LCHF Ladies 50Y+ group I saw a Jason Fung M.D. podcast about fasting. Although I had previously heard of 5:2 & 4:3 calorie restriction routines, this was the first time I had heard of a fast less than 24h. I also learned that if I took the milk out of my coffee I was essentially doing a 16:8 IF! So this morning my coffee was black. I did my HIIT this morning and am going on hour 18.0

I have found podcasts of Dr Jason Fung and Barbara O'Neill to be full of insight. Could cortisol levels too high (stress, in adequate sleep, not enough relaxing pasttimes...) Could it be too many carbs or even protein? Could it be not water? Could it be not enough mineral-rich salt? (this was part of my water retention issue)
Perhaps read a bit lowering carbs and raising fats, then modify your macros. If stress is the issue, find insight into ways to lessen it.1
