KETO PIZZA

Been doing the LCHF diet here and there for about year now and have tried all sorts of low carb pizza recipes along the way. My favorite is the chicken pizza crust, especially when it comes to the carb count! What's everyone else's favorite?

Portabello mushrooms caps upside down with thin sliced tomatoes and basil. With mozzarella cheese. 450 for 20 mins.6

Fat Head pizza! I'd also be interested in the chicken pizza crust recipe though.1

I love the broccoli or cauliflower crust pizzas I make!0

I swear I saw a link previously. I think this was it but there are several on line.0 -
Thank you for the link.2

Ditto -- I already pinned it.0

Tried it. Wasn't impressed. Haven't been impressed with most "low carb" pizza recipes, especially where crust is concerned. I have decided I'm going to try this stuff soon though:

I make a crust using pork rinds. Usually not a big fan of them, but the addition of Italian seasoning and using a stronger cheese like Parmesan makes for a pretty delicious crust.0

Just tried this pizza (the one with a can of chicken)....amazing! And the calorie count is a lot more manageable! Even my husband, who hates canned chicken loved it! I'm super excited to have discovered this. Thank you! These forums really have helped me discover new recipes.1

I tried the fathead. Maybe it depends on the type/source of cheese, but it came out soft, in spite of baking it on custom-made pizza trays (perforated) and it was also very cheesy. I know, it was made of cheese, but it might have just as well been made with ONLY cheese....
I've yet to try the cauliflower crust.
I'm keen to try this one too.... But canned chicken in the UK is virtually impossible to buy. So as suggested (on the linked page, in the comments) I shall create my own....0 -
I picked up a small can of canned chicken tonight to give it a try some day. I'm curious about how well the chicken will dry out to make a crust. I might just spread some cream cheese and Frank's hot sauce on it and make buffalo chicken.3

I like the cauliflower/cheese crusts but don't always have the time to make them so I found them to buy ready-made and they are quite good. Cali-flour Pizza. No local places sell them but I got them online, they ship them and you freeze them when you receive them. Works out fine, no problems.2

I just sprinkle a mix of mozzarella and parm cheese in little circles on tin foil, pop a piece of pepperoni on top of each circle, then more cheese. Sprinkle on a little garlic, bake/broil real quick in the toaster oven... Pizza bites. Sure don't miss the tomato sauce.

I might copy that idea but still using small cherry tomato, or mini plum tomato halves. I know about the sugar/carb content, but they're small flavour-bombs and if eaten once a week or so, should be ok for my 'carb count'....0 -
Probably a giant pic but this is that canned chicken crust. Just the crust. I used a 5 oz can to get that size which is 6 inches. I took the pic on my palm so you can see that it will most likely stand up to some sauce and toppings. I accidentally didn't follow instructions and just mixed the super strained (used a potato ricer) chicken with 1/2 raw egg and 1/2 oz parmesean cheese (the super dry kind in the green container). Baked on parchment paper for 10 min. then flipped it over and baked another 10 minutes. I don't know how it could taste bad if one likes chicken, egg, cheese. Not sure how I'll top it.

I am soooooo going to try this, but with boneless, skinless thigh meat poached in water/broth.... The thigh flesh contains more nutrients than the breast.... Ignore the 'fat/cholesterol' scare-mongering....0

Looks good! I bet it's delicious even without toppings. Maybe even buttered like you would toast.0 -
I ended up mixing cream cheese with some frank's hot sauce and spredding it on the crust then topping with shredded cheddar and heating in the oven. It was tasty especially when hot. It should definitely work with Pizza toppings and cuts really well with a pizza cutter.1

Is there a recipe link for this somewhere? I looked at the picture but not sure where to do a search for this.0

I've never made a chicken crust myself, but my grocery store has small pizzas with that sort of crust and its AMAZING. The supreme version only has 8 grams carbs in the entire thing and thats not checking to see how much is fiber.1

I tried the chicken crust not bad. My favorite is simply take a handful of mozzarella cook it in a pan at low heat and add a little sauce and pepperoni and wait for the cheese to get crispy (not burned - low heat). Its great. I tried cauliflower, almond flour, the chicken crust. The pan is my favorite!2

My favorite is Fat Head Pizza crust! Really easy to make (just mozzarella, cream cheese, almond flour and a egg).

I like the idea of using cream cheese, yum.0

Has anyone tried freezing the chicken crust? Might be a nice thing to batch-cook, the oven gets so hot in the summer, I'd rather heat it up on a rainy day!0

Some of these sound great! I'm dairy free out of necessity, but I love to make meatza:
