One good thing about Low Carb WoE is your body follows math consistently

Drink enough water , keep sodium low. and you see your pounds melting each and every single day. ever since i hooked up the health app S health to MFP . I see the amount of steps /kms i walked in a day. The Net calories seems pretty accurate and the rate of loss of pounds about 0.5 pounds each day is also pretty accurate to my activity level. Its really a good reassuring feeling unlike the up and downs and stalls on a carb fed diet. You are not left wondering what's happening.

The numbers worked out for me with MFP so far as weight loss/maintenance though I have been playing around with S-Health the last couple of months. I could be missing something on the app but I find it does not have the variety of food measurements or conversions available in MFP. I think in terms of ounces versus grams and many things are grams only or "slice". That's ok though since I am moving away from being so precise in my measurements than when eating medically therapeutic keto.
I have S-Health synced to MFP regarding exercise only but only the "steps" seem to show up on MFP as calories burned. It's not a huge deal since I've always been one to say what matters is that I moved. I like S-Health also because I check my blood pressure periodically and so have blood pressure as one of the items "managed" and it is all right there on one screen.
Is there something I can do @Adi4Fitness to have calories burned via aerobics, exercise bike, etc sync to MFP?
ETA: and I like the timer feature. Good app!0 -
You get a fitbit and sync it to mfp. I have an active job and i count the calories burnt aside from walking. Butchecking my weight daily i was able to do the reverse .i lost 0.6 pounds yesterday. That is roughly 1800 calories. I saw my net was 700 even with an intake of 1500 calories. So i estimate i burnt 2500 calories. I can chalk up 300 calories to exercise0

Be wary of the keto flu. I found I had to deliberately increase sodium intake with a homemade electrolyte drink.

I had to increase sodium to drop the pounds. Maybe it depends on carb level? I know that Keto levels require higher sodium levels. Maybe the 50 - 150 level need less?2

I found the answer to my question above. S-Health allows you to sync isolated things to MFP. I had "calories burned/steps" turned on but had "exercise" turned off. Duh.0

My body and how it processes is more than simple math so watching macros and eating low carb does not always equal weekly weight loss.2

My wife also had to increase sodium before she started seeing results on the scale. It is counterintuitive and is not what we have been taught for years.

My weight loss was perfectly consistent (and more than predicted by MFP) when I was doing MFP and not low carbing, but had lots to lose. Now it's all over the place whether I low carb or not (I don't have much to lose, the dreaded last 5-10, and I know it's that I don't care enough to keep a consistent deficit).0

Yep..... This..... In my case MFP is next to useless as far as calories burned/calories intake/'in 5 weeks you will weigh x'. This no matter traditional CICO or LCHF or keto. I'm mainly using it for the community here.0 -

You are in ketosis at 50g especially with an active job. Contrary to the growing (false!) belief that 50g isn't ketotic, the body goes into some level of ketosis anywhere under about 150g of carbohydrates, before activity level is taken into account. The level of ketosis goes up from there and just hits an arbitrary level in most people at lower levels.
For your own long term health, DON'T restrict your sodium intake! You need to INCREASE sodium on this WOE. This goes triple if your activity is in a warm/hot environment (I literally just spent the past four days trying to keep electrolytes in people, and largely failing because we simply couldn't keep up with the electrolyte loss; my own son got an IV on Saturday because we couldn't keep enough electrolytes in him and he suffered from heat exhaustion from electrolyte loss; trust me, you do NOT want to mess with this stuff).
Your body needs sodium to function properly, and due to the nature of ketones, the body loses sodium faster when in ketosis (because sodium binds to ketones), so it needs replaced at a higher rate. If you don't, it can kill you.5
